I love the traditional South.

It is a place where “Good day to you, sir” if delivered sharply means the same as “F**k you” in a Blue State.

... and a well-timed and delivered “bless your heart” can be the most devastating thing you could possibly say, or a sincere statement of sympathy, depending upon the context.

...and “well, bless his heart” is the same as a five-minute profane rant from a Brooklyn cabbie who just got cut off in traffic.

Southern as a language is much like Chinese. Intonation is everything. :)
