Is this the cleric who wanted to include Islamic prayers in the Church of England?

From 2008: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7232661.stm

“Sharia law in UK is ‘unavoidable’ The Archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK “seems unavoidable”.
Dr Rowan Williams told Radio 4’s World at One that the UK has to “face up to the fact” that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system. Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion.”

Williams is a complete embarrassment to Britain. Not that we don’t have more than our fair share of idiots.

But this clown is a real gem.

Naturally, this statist functionary was never elected to any public position, so why doesent he shut his pompous mouth? For example.

Time for His Grace to retire and return to academia.

maybe, just maybe, the leader of the church should take the LEAD in addressing all this “fear” amongst the populace. Dr. Williams seems like a nice enough fellow, but he’s a walking leftist cliche; a man so open-minded that his brain has fallen out.

If Rowan Williams is against it, it’s probably a good thing.

Well, I wonder how King Henry the 8th would have responded to an attack like this.

It would be a miracle for the Archbishop of Canterbury to ever have a conservative thought under his tall hat. He is painfully predictable in siding with anything that promotes cradle-to-grave Socialism, even though Britain is broke.

Methinks it is time for a little disestablishmentarianism.
