Oh really!! How do I do it, hide that post from certain people. While I have you how do you get rid of the chat box in the corner? :) I need facebook for dummies!!
I don’t know how to get rid of that stupid little box, but I always stay offline so no one can chat with me.
When you go to post, underneath the box you type in, there should be a little padlock icon with a down arrow, click on it and choose the custom option. A custom Privacy box will pop up and at the bottom it will say “Hide this from” and you can type in the names. I do this all the time, since I have a lot of my younger brother’s friends on my FB page. I actually made it my default custom setting, so that if I do post something I want them to see, I can just choose all friends instead of custom.
RE: The little chat box on facebook. Click on it, click on options, and then click on ‘go offline’. This will hide you from everyone else knowing that you’re ‘online’, and you won’t get anyone popping up to ‘chat’. Turned this off awhile ago...always froze up my poor old computer when anyone wanted to chat.
