Early Thursday afternoon, Derek Willis posted on the papers "Caucus" blog a request surely enticing to the papers online liberal readership: "Help Us Investigate the Sarah Palin E-Mail Records." Ken Shepherd at NewsBusters says enlisting newspaper readers to pore through the email trove "indirectly amounts to free oppo research for the 2012 Obama campaign."
- On Friday, the State of Alaska will release more than 24,000 of Sarah Palins e-mails covering much of her tenure as governor of Alaska. Times reporters will be in Juneau, the state capital, to begin the process of reviewing the e-mails, which we will be posting on nytimes.com starting on Friday afternoon E.D.T.
- Were asking readers to help us identify interesting and newsworthy e-mails, people and events that we may want to highlight. Interested users can fill out a simple form to describe the nature of the e-mail, and provide a name and e-mail address so well know who should get the credit. Join us here on Friday afternoon and into the weekend to participate.
Sounds like a liberal party at the Times this weekend. But where was this crowd-sourcing investigative enthusiasm upon the release of the 2,000-page Obama-care bill, when it could have uncovered all sorts of expensive hidden surprises?
The Times was actually beaten to this game by the Washington Post, who made a similar request (its a more formal process than the Times') just after noon on Thursday.

The New York Times and the rest of that scumbag lefty ilk of the dinosaur “mainstream” media is dying fast.
They think this kind of filthy scheme will save them?

Anyone ask the nimrod dims how they could even
remotely stand behind obama?
Sarah Palin is the best that the GOP could wish for. Who cares what the other schlubs think? Sickening.

“We should shut down the server with emails reporting “I got an email from Palin saying “...the NY Times bites big crusty dog ass...”
Hey! What’s a big crusty dog ass ever done to deserve THAT...?!
Seriously... I hope this “fair and balanced” approach to the news backfires on them all... and makes Palin even stronger.
I suspect it will.

This only proves how pathetic and worthless MSM really is. This is akin to what junior high school girls will do to another girl they want to humiliate.

There are no depths to which they will not sink in order to achieve their goals. The ends justify the means.
If (when) we win in 2012, we must devise a suitable strategy to adequately reward the Times (and the rest of the lame-stream media) for their tireless efforts to destroy the United States of America!!

Is that a fact? I didn't know that. I'm sure the family does have private guards, however.
Pray for Sarah's safety....pray for America.

Yep. Major candidates 120 days before election. Candidates did not receive any SS protection until Bobby Philanderer was assassinated.

Are they hiring interns? I have a newphew who is good at spotting gramatical and spelling errors to prove that the writer is an uneducated moron...(you know, just like Dan Quayle could not spell POTATO).
Maybe my nephew can help .... Ill ask him to flood WaPo and NYT with tons of mistakes he finds typos, missed commas, wrong hyphens, etc.
He needs something to do this summer before going back to college.

Ew, that makes me nauseous just looking at it. One time I was working a flight out of DC early in the morning. We had finished our breakfast service and were hanging out in the back galley. My other crewmember poured herself a cup of coffee, then cracked open a carton of milk and started pouring it in her coffee when something plopped out of the carton into the coffee. WTH? So she fished around to find what had fallen out.
It was a rat's foot. True story. And I dumped my half-eaten cereal & milk in the trash.

So in other words, the NYT wants people to do their investigative work for free, since they are broke and don't have enough eyeballs on staff to comb through 24,000 emails before the election.
That sounds vaguely familiar to Arianna's plan to get people to write for her web site for no pay, then make $300 million off it and tell all her peons that they should be happy just to be associated with her. Please.

“..What if we take them up on it, ...”
How about we start forming our OWN “electronic flash mobs” and start researching and digging up dirt on prominent liberal judges, politicians, media personalities, etc., and broadcasting it all over the Internet.
We should organize and do to them what they do to OUR people. If they can assemble SIEU mobs outside of bankers’ houses, why can’t our side do the same outside of their Useful Idiot houses?

“What if we take them up on it, and find them instances of Palins stellar conduct instead of the dirt they want?”
Great idea! This would be a great project to show the NYT readership and liberals generally what a great governor Palin was and how intelligent she really is.
