Critics Fume Over Intensity of News Coverage for Palin...(Politico Admits Double Standard for Palin)

Scores of journalists descended on Juneau this week in preparation for the release of the e-mails. MSNBC.com deputized 40 volunteers, chosen with the help of the League of Women Voters and the Retired Public Employees of Alaska. They were the reinforcements for the team of two journalists from the Web site and six more from NBC News who flew to Juneau.

The New York Times and The Guardian sent reporters armed with scanners and then solicited readers’ assistance. Politico enlisted a dozen editors, reporters and interns who worked as a team from their Northern Virginia newsroom “plowing through” the documents, as one editor described it. The Washington Post initially asked for 100 volunteers to sift through the documents. They were quickly overwhelmed with too many applicants. Unable to screen all of them, the paper abandoned the plan late Thursday, opting instead to invite reader comments.

Charles Mahtesian, national politics editor for Politico, said he was sympathetic to critics who said the news media went into unnecessary overdrive on anything Palin-related. “I think there’s some truth in what the critics on the right say about a double standard for Sarah Palin,” he said. “Having said that, she is an incredibly compelling character. And anything she says or does will have a bearing on the 2012 presidential election cycle. So it’s a pretty easy call as a news story.”

The only guy edging out Sarah's emails in the least is Tony Wiener.

Where is Obama? Where is Gates? Where is Chucky Schumer? Where is.........

All the Democrats but Tony seem to be gone.

Wonder who's scheduled with the Sunday talking head shows?

It is Palin hatred and fear that is driving them, pure and simple. If they had devoted 1/100 as much scrutiny to Obastard when he was running, he would have never been nominated.

One would have to be a complete dumbarse to not see the overwhelming media bias when referencing Sarah Palin. If she elicits this much handwringing from the MSM then she is the one I wish to support.

Not anymore. They did one heck of a hack job on Scott Brown here in Massachusetts last month.

If her emails are salted with Scripture, four
things will happen:

1. Some will turn their hearts toward God.
2. Some will want to burn her at the stake.
3. All will be forced to re-asses Church and State.
4. Actual history will be re-discovered.

It’s an attempt at a hi-tech lynching.

Of course, if your Sarah you know you’ve done nothing wrong, so all they’re doing is giving you more free air time for your presidential run.

She takes the air out of every room she enters.

They don’t stand a chance of defeating her.

It really is Reaganesque.

She’s crushing them under the weight of their own lies.

She’s a “character”. If this nit called any other politician of her stature a character he’d be apoligizing tomorrow.

I should have put sarc/ at the end of my post.
Sometimes I don’t if I think something is obvious.

About 25-30 years ago, my mom noted that the League of Women Voters was becoming a partisan organization and tilted even then quite strongly for the Demorats.

A very complimentary CNN reporter just said after going through e-mails all day he’s finally seen the Sarah Palin he was told about when she was named the vice presidential nominee. Wonders why this Sarah Palin wasn’t seen on the campaign trail.

If they had devoted 1/100 as much scrutiny to Obastard when he was running, he would have never been nominated.

But, since he was their candidate, and couldn't bear the scrutiny, they weren't about to apply it.

I've little doubt that the media didn't know of Obama's communist past and Muslim leanings. But, to them, those were positives -- and positives that needed to be hidden.

The MSM deserves to be utterly destroyed. And they probably know it...
