Weeping, grief-stricken mourners today are pouring into the Harlem home of a vivacious 16-year-old girl gunned down in a senseless bloodbath at a Brooklyn beach where thousands of kids had gathered to enjoy a hot and sunny day off from school.
High schooler Tysha Jones had been frolicking at Brighton Beach and joking and laughing with friends on the boardwalk when she was caught in a senseless hailstorm of bullets fired into the youthful crowd around 5:20 p.m. yesterday.
She died later at Coney Island Hospital.

I was really shocked they published that photo.
They printed another one, over 25 years ago, right on the front page.
There was a mob rub out, someone in the wilds of brooklyn. They had a pic on the front page of the blood drenched windshield of the car. The bodies were still inside.
A lovely sight as I was on my way to work that AM.
I like the Post, but it is not OK to show that poor girl like that.
I’m with ya! High up in the mountains, (target shoot right off my back porch!), healthy, retired, and well situated/prepped in a VERY conservative area myself. The savages that roam the cities would be well advised to not try any of there gang crap where I live. Neighbors, (and locals down in the nearest town pop. approx 900), are like minded. We hope to heck it never gets to ‘that’ point but if it does we are going to defend what we have worked for earned. Stay safe LH!

I notice that the article keeps pointing out 95 degree heat as if that’s a factor. Big deal, 95 degree in nothing for summer, darn near a relief temp. Good ol’ MSM, always blaming something besides what the problem really is: out of control thugs that need indicting, prosecution and incarceration.

I believe there is an axiom for photo-journalists, “ Follow the body”.
The picture ,though not so pleasant in being posted to a newspaper will be good to have to help in the conviction of the gangbanger who did the shooting. If they ever catch him, because of course , no one saw a thing.
Brighton Beach used to be a wonderful place where Jewish, Italian and Irish immigrant families would frolick. Now it looks like if anyone lighter than a latte showed up they wouldn’t last long.
I agree. I wish the media had not censored what I saw with my own eyes at the foot on the World Trade Center before it fell. Parts and pieces. Gore and horror. It was withheld so the People wouldn't get "too angry" at those wonderful Muzzies.
