The victim was not dead at the time as the article indicated she later died at the hospital.
The fact is, the news take lots of images of injured people, who sometimes later die in the hospital, as this victim did. This is nothing new.
It looked like they worked on her then left her there. You don’t see any emergency people in the picture so the viewer is left to assume ?

I have always felt that the many pronouncements we hear of this nature are euphemisms. That's really being too kind, though. They represent abject acquiesence to authority. The implication is that nobody is dead until They say they are. It seems to me that we used to venture closer to the truth with reports that the victim "was later declared dead".
