There are a LOT of Texans - me included - who grew up as a (d) in our early years. Heck, I even voted for the peanut farmer. We found our way out of the darkness when we found out how corrupt the (d) party was and turned to the (R) party instead.

You make a very good point, but if I find out you worked for Al Gore's campaign in 1988 — post-Reagan Enlightenment — then I will be suspicious.
