I agree, sadly. With me it's not what Bachman says but how she says it. I don't hear any passion like I hear when Palin speaks. She comes across as whiny and I have to admit it, her accent is a turn off.

Cain's accent is a turn off for me too. I think he is a fantastic business man and a hugely successful person but he doesn't sound like an educated person. Sorry maybe that is just me.

I agree with the poster’s impressions and reactions, and with those who contend that she says the right words but lacks the fire in belly to bring them to fruition in the rough and tumble of a campaign or someday against our enemies - domestic and foreign.

All of our minds (me included) have been corrupted by 60 years of Progressive/Communist programming. It clouds our judgement, and prevents us from connecting to people who could be real leaders. Conservatives are people who have developed their natural gifts to see more clearly, rather than remained emotionally stunted like progressives. But we are still corrupted by our culture. We are all looking for the “perfect” leader. There never has been and never will be such a creature.

If Michele Bachmann get the nomination I will vote for her, but I don't believe she would be the strong executive that we need to take on the Marxists in government. As far as I can tell she is not a constitutional conservative, how any real conservative could vote for the patriot act TWICE is beyond me. Bachmann is a light weight conservative with zero experience and limited skills, vastly superior to Obama but not what the right in the USA needs today.

I believe Michele is running because she thinks she has a chance to win, not because she wants to do some great task(s) for the nation. Call it a vision thing, I sense more of an opportunistic politician then I do a dedicated American with vision for the country. Dido Romey.

My prediction is that is either Perry or Palin will get in. I personally would prefer Palin since I have trust issues with Perry.

She`s NOT Sarah is right! Bachmann`s voice grates on my nerves, she says wonderful things about herself, comes across badly.

BECAUSE WE HAVE A ONCE IN A GENERATION CANDIDATE IN GOV SARAH PALIN...Why would we want anybody else???

This whole Bachmann pointless run makes me think of Alice in Wonderland

So what is it? I’ve tried to figure this out logically but I keep hitting an emotional wall...

I was kind of feeling the same way, but at this time in the primary, we do better by celebrating the strong points of each candidate, rather than tearing them down. Together the candidates present a picture of the Republican Party that will last through the election, no matter who wins.

After the debate, Bachman is now in second place. The other polls were taken before the debate.

I am just hoping that a strong winner will emerge, other than Romney, who I don’t trust.

Does Michele Bachmann’s energy belong in the legislature and not the executive?

There lies the answer to your dilemma. Bachmann is good a gold in our fight to take back our country BUT she is legislator. She needs to remain in the house or senate. I can't see her in an administrative role either. The presidency is no place to find out if she has the skill for that job. I'll stick with Sarah Palin.

I think she’s doing very well where she is. If Sarah doesn’t run, I will certainly consider Bachmann. She’s just not my first or second choice.

I said it yesterday in another thread about bachmann> Here it is again

She reminds me of an opening act NOT a main attraction.

I don't dislike her. I just do not get a major energy hit from her.

I did feel that way, but since the debate it’s no longer true.

She has more charisma than Palin and is more reliably conservative than Romney, T-Paw, etc...

I don’t agree with your assessment, not that it makes it wrong.
