I agree with all of that. And she has such grace under pressure. And the pressure has been ENORMOUS. Even from “supporters”.

Bachmann hasn’t gotten HALF of what Palin and her family have been subjected to. Just wait. She will.

You’re right, Pete.

kristinn pointed it out to me in post #43 and I thanked him in post #64.

A piece came out in American Spectator(?) today that made the claim that Sarah Palin will be making her decision on whether to pursue a presidential run within the next two weeks.

Sarah later tweeted something along the lines of, "No one told me. Nice of them to let me know what I'll be doing in two weeks."

Can you imagine reacting to something like that with such humor and wit (given the enormous pressure she's under)? I tell you, I have rarely seen someone in national politics with her level of grit and poise. The words, confidence and courage are poor descriptors, when it comes to this woman.

Palin is the kind of person that you want to be responsible for “the football”. I can’t imagine giving many people the responsibility of nuclear arms.

I promised myself I was going to let this go...

Sarah Palin is in a SMALL group of people who actually have a chance to be elected President. Cain, Paul, Santorum, NEVER had a chance in my view. I started out thinking Bachmann had no chance but I've changed my mind.

So that leaves, Pawlenty, Romney, Huntsman, Bachmann, and Palin. Perry? ah, I don't think so.

Pawlenty: Does anyone think he's too dumb to be President? No, his problem is he's either too dull or too timid to be President, right? Am I judging him by a different standard than Palin? You bet. No one thinks Palin is dull or timid.

Romney is too plastic, too formal, and may not be an authentic conservative. Am I judging him by a different standard? Yup. No one doubts Palin’s conservative credentials or think she's too stiff.

Again, see what I'm driving at here? Each candidate has weaknesses, Palin’s are different than Romney's or Palenty’s.

Sarah Palin doesn't need to win ME over, she needs about a 1/3 of the people who currently think she's a dolt who wouldn't know foreign policy from a cake recipe to change THEIR minds about her and what she's done so far hasn't moved that one inch in her direction.

Meanwhile, Bachmann did very well in the debate and hiring Rollins was a good move. She doing things to help her cause where I don't think Palin has. Yes, we know you love Sarah, but I assume she's had your vote for a long time, it's not YOU she needs to convince.

Next week I may change my mind, I don't have a candidate yet. ANYONE but Obama is my operating principle.

I understand. It's addictive, ain't it?

Sarah Palin doesn't need to win ME over, she needs about a 1/3 of the people who currently think she's a dolt who wouldn't know foreign policy from a cake recipe to change THEIR minds about her and what she's done so far hasn't moved that one inch in her direction.

I understand your point. Yes, like any candidate in a presidential election, Sarah Palin will have to work to convince some doubters that she's the best qualified candidate they could choose. That's what primaries and general elections are all about.

In Governor Palin's case, some of those she'll have to convince have had their minds poisoned by the mainstream media attacks against her. In a word, she has to neutralize some people's false perceptions of her. Hopefully, the new movie, "The Undefeated", will be seen by many such people. From what I've heard about it, it virtually destroys every common Palin myth out there.

But, we all know that most people who've got their minds set against Palin aren't going to voluntarily make the effort to go see a pro-Palin documentary. Those people will have to watch her and listen to her over the course of a hard-fought primary battle to gain some fresh, and more accurate insights into who she really is.

Frankly, I don't think she's worrying all that much about that part of the work ahead. It's my guess that she knows she'll win over a great many doubters if she simply presents herself and her vision for the country, anew.

I think you are spot on with your assessment and if Romney gets the nod i guess i won’t be voting again.
