White House political maestro Karl Rove urged money and other forms of support for Republican congressional candidate Michele Bachmann at a Stillwater fundraiser Friday.The Bachmann fundraiser at the Water Street Inn in Stillwater attracted about 60 supporters, who paid $250 for lunch. Couples who contributed $1,000 to Bachmann could have their pictures taken with Rove. The Bachmann campaign did not immediately release the total amount raised.

LOL. You get the prize kristinn. I was scrolling down to see who would be the first one to notice. Shows how often we fail to notice sources and dates. Fortunately, I caught this one because it didn’t sound right that it mentioned Rove and White House in the same sentence.
Ed Rollins helped Reagan win 49 states. Now I know, he took a shot at Sarah Palin, but hay, he was right. Governor Palin should have spent the last three years traveling the world and writing a book on foreign policy if she were serious about being the next President. And I say that as someone who likes Sarah Palin but in my book she blew it with how she's wasted her time.
Also, if the disembodied head of Herb Hoover were to somehow gain the Republican nomination in 2012, I'm going to all I can to get it elected President.
Others from the Reagan Administration (including Mark Levin) would dispute the contention that Rollins played a significant role in that landslide win.

This is more about Karl marginalizing Palin in favor of building up Bachman, but believing that neither can beat Obama, and thereby propping up Romney over a possible Perry entry (whom he does not dig much more than Palin).

Well, two points in answer to that.
1. The insider candidate, Mike Castle, was somewhere to the left of Lenin.
2. Rove had every right to suggest better candidates than O’Donnell in the primary, but he abused his access to Fox News to attack her repeatedly AFTER she was nominated. And he lied about her.

Makes you wonder who is up to what.
Karl was one of the RINO crowd that said Sarah needed to go back to Alaska and study, now he is raising funds for MB who does not even know where the famous US battles were fought.
So NYTimes, Karl Rove virtually all the msm pollsters and networks are all pushing Bachmann
Hope you Bachmann supporters can sleep at night with the knowledge that Karl Rove and the NYTimes and Rachel Maddow are all supporting your candidate, all of you on the same team!
Let's see, Israel, India, Germany, Hong Kong, Haiti and I believe she'll be going to England. Oh she's been to Ireland and Kuwait too. And I think Iraq. How many other candidates have traveled? And to what countries?

And the point of this post is to smear Bachmann because Rove once helped her out. The Left is right, conservatives are paranoid.
It was in 2006, when she was running for Congress.
I believe that within the last couple of months Mr. Rove has publicly stated he likes Mrs Bachmann and still stays in contact with her.
OK so it`s a old post, but I suspect Karl as one of the Rep establishment is actually rooting for MB to be a spoiler.
Regardless, NY Times,MSM are all pushing Bachmann, am sure Karl would be happy with this, he wants Palin out as well.
I still don’t know for sure what makes Bachmann so conservative other than being attacked by the MSM.
That doesn’t automatically make one a conservative.
On the other hand, Sarah Palin took on the RINO Murkowski clan directly in Alaska. She’s fought the political insiders and “gone rogue” from their handling in the 2008 campaign.
Conservatives would be much more effective if they learned to read.

Bachman, as opposed to Palin, is a now declared, serious candidate running a race, quite capable of attracting the votes needed for a win that Sarah can’t get—that would be moderates and Independents. Sarah seems comfortable as the talker in the attic.
