This is a very sad day for Catholicism. Still, though, as Father Corapi asked in the beginning, say prayers for everyone involved....
How can this person be demonstrably troubled if the identity of the person is not known?
will not try to fight this irrational and unjust situation for the simple reason that I dont want to be placed in an adversarial posture against the Church.
I have listened to quite a few of ex-Father Corapi's sermons. As far as I can tell, he has had an adversarial posture against the Church for the past 20 years. That's why he supported himself with his own income.

I don’t see any mention of laicization. Is he requesting it? Apparently his faculties have been suspended.
Father Corapi and Father E. both had groupies, right here on FR and elsewhere. Making a rock star out of a priest (or televangelist or any religious figure) is a sin. It’s called idolatry. Many here need to look inside themselves.
As for Father Corapi and Father E, they too are responsible. There were called to be priests, not rock stars. They should have re-directed the spotlights elsewhere, instead of soaking up the light.
The lesson will be lost, and the next priest/rock star will not fail to disappoint and we never seem to learn.
What is funny is that many who idolize their own religious figures, point fingers at others who do the same thing. Don’t get caught laughing at the Benny Hinns and Jimmy Swaggarts and then swoon at the Father Corapis. Idolatry is idolatry.
I recommend anyone unfamiliar with Father Corapi to find any of his lectures on youtube.
In my judgment, Father Corapi is getting the short end of the stick here.
Anyone else?
What is that phrase: You must die to yourself and then come follow Jesus?
I never liked Corapi. He talked good, but always had a smirk on his face that disturbed me.
As for his complaints: Well, if they aren't following the strict canon law regulations, as he claims, he can appeal to the Vatican.
But this might take months or years, and I guess he thinks he's too important to the world to bother to go through a full examination.
For those of you who are upset about all this, I remind you what Paul said when some of his followers were fighting with those who followed another preacher: Are you following Paul or Jesus? Did Paul (or Corapi) die to save you from your sins?
“Ruffatto alleges that the priests accuser is a former employee who, after losing her job with this office, physically assaulted her and another employee, and promised to destroy Father Corapi.”
Mebbe I’m just iggernunt, but I didn’t see here where he said he’s leaving the priesthood. He’s suspended with an investigation to come.
BTW, did you ever find the Snowdens of yesteryear?
Of course he probably isn't guilty. And of course, he should not leave the priesthood, rather he should rusticate himself to a monastic order and continue the case.
Many societies consider the accused more or less guilty as charged until he can prove otherwise. It is a basic tenet of the Code Napoleon, for example. I know nothing of the bishop involved, but I know plenty about other American bishops and they are not what I would call a healthy group. They have been up to their necks in the homo child molestation scandals ... about which they have done really quite little. So when they get a chance to publicly take down a hot dog like Corapi, they certainly will.
Corapi, take your punishment, Stick around somehwere within the church, and work it out. If you were perchance looking for a way out, you found it. And do not, NOT I say, let me catch you setting up some kind of church somewhere. I like my hot dogs broiled.
