Catholic Ping! (And a sad, angry ping at that...)
Angry? I had a Priest that had an affair with my wife, which led to a divorce (her choice), and then he resigned his priesthood and married her 3 months later. Excuse me, I have no sympathy. I had a mutual friend that had supper with the local bishop later on, and he was asking for donations to the church. She told him that he should talk to her friend (me)—she said he already donated a wife. Do I sound bitter? You betcha. This person was in a position of trust and threw it all away. And by the way, he portrayed himself as a good friend to me. He will be talking to G-d at some point.
I had a chance to see him last year when he came to our area. I wish I had done so, but other obligations prevented me from doing so. Drat!
I think Father Corapi is outstanding and I wish him well. He had the fire and conviction of St. Paul.
Whoa to those in power who are corrupt. God will deal with them in his own time and way. I don't envy any of these who seek to destroy in God's name.
Thanks for the information.
