It's okay. The Dr. says that the bone is relatively unused and perfect for this type of thing. I walk fine on that side. My biggest limp is as a result of all the muscle and tondons and cartlidge and what not they had to cut through in my hips to get at it...twice. They have not recovered and in a couple of cases, attachment points for significant muscles on the sacrum simply are not there anymore so I will never have the strength I once had.
I am grateful however, to have what I do have and will make the absolute best of it as long as the good Lord keeps me around.
