A muslim would have shot the female dog. Its a Koran-approved honor killing.

I sincerely hope this A-hole does time. That kind of raging idiot needs to be separated from society for as long as possible. Coming on another man’s property, armed and with bad intent could well be a fatal mistake in many parts of the country.

The 70 year old lady didn’t have much of a choice since he dragged the dog away from her and shot it in middle of the road..

I don’t believe there is a fence short of 12 ft solid concrete or brick that can protect a bitch in heat from a male dog.

My heart goes out to this woman and I do think that this jerk overreacted, BUT...
... Here in TX we had a serious problem with strays. I’m not talking about the occasional dog breaking lose, I mean habitual roaming packs. People just didn’t care.
A neighbor has goats and the dogs would kill the goats. We all complained to the cops about the problem on many occasions and the cops advised us to shoot the dogs.
Well, the neighbor started shooting every dog that came onto his property.
Either the dogs were eliminated or the owners wised up. It only took a few months before the problem went away.
I am a dog lover and I have my own ‘baby’ who I adore. I think that this guy was wrong to go onto the woman’s property to collect and kill the dog.
But I also get his frustration.
(LOL) Actually there seem to be plenty of individually badged dog shooters around.
The specialty of the SWAT Team seems to be prejudicial termination of the property owner while executing a search warrant.
The female was in heat and this guy didn’t have it confined inside somehow. Like in the basement with barred windows and doors. Surprised every male dog for miles wasn’t there too. What a moron

Hooter’s owner was clearly irresponsible and incapable of controlling her dog. Hooter repeatedly entered the neighbor’s yard and in this case attacked his property.
My verdict is the man is innocent. She can sue for emotional distress and he should counter-sue for the same plus property damage and vetinary expenses. If his dog has a litter he should sue for care and upkeep throughout the lives of those dogs.
Certain people are too irresponsible for dog ownership. It shouldn’t always be put upon their neighbors to prove it to them. People are responsible for their pets, whether they like it or not!
This was a small failure on her part - and a massive failure on his own part. BEFORE he went and did something REALLY stupid.

YES. Even in the city, there are packs of dogs that roam at will; You can't walk this neighborhood without a stick. I have very little sympathy for people that don't keep their animals on their own property.
