From what I've read about objectivism, atheism is at the heart of her philosophy and not incidental to it. I had this same discussion with my brother and his wife who returned from the theater with fervent praise for the Atlas movie and they didn't believe me either.

I am not saying Rand may have had other thoughts, but I am not seeing that in A/S. Was it a short term conservative epihipany, maybe so, but equating other peripheral ideas to this particular prose, is flat our wrong.
