People running need to be themselves. Cain’s smiles and laughs a lot — and his getting upset at times might turn off some voters — but will probably resonate with others very well. His entire appeal as an author, speaker and tea party rally speaker has been his “in your face” attacks on liberalism. He is who he is.

And people forget when they talk about Reagan — that he got openly upset at times too. It wasn’t 100% “the happy warrior. “

I don't remember him giving up. And if you think people have given up on him, you're very wrong. His base is very committed.
