Giles was good as a sidekick to Howie (but prob not on his own, as he did on WXTK for awhile). On a Friday at 3 pm when the news was released about Jocelyn Elders resigning due to her “let’s teach masturbation” comment it was too late for Rush to comment on it but there was Howie and Giles and it was hilarious. Giles “retired” (at the insistence of his wife?) but back when VB was doing his “Pleasure Pit” show, or maybe as part of Howie’s, VB got Giles to say “My name is Giles and I’m an alcoholic” and that would get played from time to time
