The comments that follow this little anecdote are very instructive. Conservative blogs are being overwhelmed by commentators claiming that opposition to gay marriage is worse than racism.

Lesbianism and gay marriage are just an excuse for people to be fat and unattractive.
Two ugly heifers approve of their appearance and could not care less what others think.
We are doomed as a society with this garbage.

“she might be an actor “

ACTRESS ... not actor.

Alas, PC has infected National Review.

BTW, the comments are from liberals.

Adorned as if she might be an actor portraying a hip-hop teen from Cleveland, she had her meticulous corn-rows tucked under a backwards navy-blue flat-billed ballcap, a matching wife beater revealing a mural of tats on her arms, shoulders, and back. Baggy jeans rode low, leading to her construction boots with untied laces dangling free.

Many right here on FReep say social issues are unimportant; that all that matters is the economy and national security.

They are 100% wrong. Social issues are tearing this nation apart.

Your comment is 100% correct regarding comments on conservative sites. There is an orchestrated effort by the left to overwhelm these comments on all blogs to put forth the image that their beliefs are the majority beliefs. If we as conservatives do not actively start fighting back on this type of non-sense, we will indeed see a very scary change in the structure and look of this country.

Its all about perception, whether we like it or not!!!!!

Gender Free = Child Abuse as far as I’m concerned.

I feel sorry for any male children these lesbos have. :(

Greetings madprof98:

Much as man's law was used to justify the moral wrong of slavery, man's law is being used to justify another immoral behavior.

Cheers,

So, what is to stop two siblings of the same sex from being “married” in NY? Just wait, more freaks will enter the societal stage and demand that siblings and first cousins should be allowed to marry. Don’t think it will happen? Well, 20 years ago, few thought that any state would have “Gay Marriage.”

What I have trouble understanding is why would another Lesbian be attracted to a Lesbian who has done all she can to look and act like a man.

It would seem to me like the act of getting fat and mean, cutting off their hair, and getting mannish tattoo’s, like most Bull Dykes do would be a turn-off for Lesbians.

If they want what looks and acts like a man, why not get a man. Are they sinply frightened of the Penis? I mean that is the only thing these Dykes don’t have.

Yes I know there are many Lesbians who are good looking and have good looking Girlfriends, but I believe these are the ones who ar playing at it, and will eventually go back to being women.

I had the unfortunate timing 30 years ago to take my family on a tour of New York City the day of the Gay Pride Parade. I lived in New Jersey and had no idea what a Gay Pride Parade was. It was like a costume party times two, with men dressed up as women, men wearing nothing but tight short leather shorts, men with leashes on, non stop public display of affection/grouping/touching. I thought I was in a different country. That was 30 yrs ago, I can’t even imagine what they do today....

I have encountered hundreds of queer men and women while working in emergency medicine. The vast majority are on medicaid and social security disability for for such terribly disabling conditions as “bi-polar disorder” of “fibromyalgia” for which there are no definitive tests, just some quack’s “opinion” will do.

The libs are defining deviancy as normal because they have no concept of right or wrong.

I read this article with a mix of amusement, disgust and sadness at what our society is permitting itself to become. The shocking thing about it is that it is no longer shocking at all. It seems that we are losing our capacity for horror: as though it were perfectly natural for a little girl to be raised by women without husbands, or men without wives, but by chance strangers whose attraction is not romantic love but unnatural compulsion.

And we see it all going by, the Freak Parade whose marchers grow progressively more misshapen and bizarre with each passing year, and just shake our heads and doubt there's anything we can do about it.

Imagine it is 1967 and you pick up a magazine and open it and read the very same story (as appears in NRO). What would have been your reaction? Disbelief? Disgust? Horror? Would you flip the magazine over to see if you had accidentally happened upon some seedy, underground counter-culture rag? Would you have felt a sudden impulse to wash your hands?

Whatever your visceral reaction, you likely would have felt as though you were reading about somewhere other than America, or perhaps about some hellish, future dystopic version of it. They always said Satan would lower our standards bit by bit, so gradually that we would not see it coming. Welcome to Hell.

“They would have us believe that their way of looking at the world transcends the “narrow” confines of socially constructed gender difference, but these very folks end up playing to those very confines, usually in comically stereotypical ways.”

If they don’t want to be laughed at, they shouldn’t act like clowns.

The heavy emphasis on pride is a DEVICE:

I think gay men become more and more impressed with the transiency of their relationships. This fills them with a gnawing awareness that that might not be ultimately healthy, good, or what they’re actually looking for.

This causes growing awareness generates uneasiness, leading to a counter-reaction, thus the emphasis on not just DOING those gay things, but doing then, and then also later being really PROUD OF IT, thereby diminishing the unease.

So it’s a coping mechanism to stay gay and doing gay things.
