July 27th is meaningless. The pertinant AK law (39.52.310h) states....
"A violation of this chapter may be investigated within two years after discovery of the alleged violation."
Key words..."discovery" and "alleged".
The statute of limitations clocks starts ticking the day of the discovery of the alleged violation and runs for two years from that daye.
IOW...if all those eyes reading through all those 24,000 pages of e-mails "discovered" any indication of an "alleged" violation then a complaint can be filed at any time in the next two years.
Each accepted violation must be answered in writing within 20 days or a written application for an extension must be submitted.
Any complaint will create a media frenzy that will re-open the discussion of the old complaints -- the ones that folks say caused her to quit.
If multiple "alleged" violations were to be "discovered" then a palin campaign would be de-railed by multiple filings.
If God is for her, who can be against her.
But that is simply not right.
This is equivalent to holding someone ‘hostage’ indefinitely, if someone wills it.
There should be an end of the frivolous complaints.
Is there another Alaskan official being held off this way ever?
And you’d be as giddy as a school girl if that happened.
I would have to read all the sections of the law.
The law may only apply to current employees.
