Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg is back on the air with another political ad, and this time his focus is guns.
Just a few weeks after an operative from Al Qaeda released a video urging Islamic militants to take advantage of America as a country “absolutely awash with easily obtainable firearms,” Mr. Bloomberg and his national anti-illegal gun coalition, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, released a commercial on Tuesday urging Congress to close what they say is a loophole in gun laws. That loophole is gun shows, the mayors say, where all kinds of people — even terrorists — can purchase firearms.
The ad features snippets of the comments from the operative, Adam Yahiye Gadahn, an American convert to Islam, together with gun show footage from Mr. Bloomberg’s 2009 undercover video operation, and urges viewers to press Congress to approve legislation that would tighten rules on gun shows.
The ad will run through Thursday on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC, as well as on the Sunday morning talk shows. Mr. Bloomberg is paying for the ads out of his own pocket — at a cost, media buyers estimate, at $200,000 to $250,000.
In a statement, Mr. Bloomberg said: “Criminals already know how to take advantage of gaps in our gun laws, and now Al Qaeda knows, too. Americans, including N.R.A. members, overwhelmingly support stronger laws to keep guns away from terrorists and other dangerous people.”
A spokesman for the National Rifle Association did not respond immediately to an e-mail seeking reaction to the new ad. But in the past, the organization and its supporters have cast aspersions upon Mr. Bloomberg and his group.

Only a socialist or idiot would still believe that there is a loophole in gunshows. They have to run the same checks as gun shops do. The only thing they allow is for individuals to sell privately owned guns to others without a background check. To make private gun sales subject to this rule would be the same as saying you can’t sell your old car without going to a car dealer first and giving them payment for handling the sale.
Mayors against guns is a foolish group. And Bloomie is the lead fool.

I saw this ad the other day. It told me that I could go to a gun show and walk away with a fully automatic assault weapon without any problem!
Really?
I can get a fully automatic AK-47 or M4 without a background check for just a couple of hundred bucks? No questions asked.
Please tell me where this gun show is. I am sure there would be more than terrorists lining up to go into THAT show.

Again—no one can tell you what are “Illegal Guns”...not even the awe inspiring NY Times...just a term slopped around like hash to provoke an emotional response.
They’re all illegal, get it? Thus subject to confiscation. It is absurd for vassals of the state to be armed.
Why don’t we just have a law that makes it illegal for muslims to buy guns. There, problem solved.
Whats curious about this is that Bloomberg has done more damage to NYC than any terrorist could do.

An armed public is a dangerous public - for jihadists seeking ‘free fire zones’ for their ‘martyr operations’. Since the Bloombergs of the world are too blinded by their ideological commitments to see this, their publics need to be reminded of this.
We have to understand, the BloomBastard doesn’t live in the world most normal people live in. His world taints his view of reality.
He probably spends all his time in well-protected, high rise hotels and penthouses in New York City, with occasional trips to exotic places like Miami Beach, Las Vegas, Monaco, etc where he resides in essentially the same kind of environment. He probably never made anything with his own hands and has no conception of things like “sweat”, “muscle fatigue”, “unpaid bills”, “street thugs” or wild animals. He probably never got his well-manicured little fingers dirty planting roses or corn or potatoes. He probably couldn’t drive a nail or file a piece of metal or paint a wall.
In Bloombasttard’s world, there are no need for guns except in the hands of well-paid security guards who protect his candy @$$.
By the way, Bloombastard congratulated Andrew “Evil Eyes” Cuomo on signing the Somdomitic Marriage Bill , which confirms another of my long standing suspicions about Bloombastard.

Especially when the BATF is lending a helping hand. If the mayor wants more gun laws, he’d better come up with some ideas of having them competently enforced. When guns are outlawed, only the gang-bangers and drug cartels will have guns.
We need to find out where that gun show is, show up early and buy all of the full auto assault weapons before the Muzzies get there.....Problem solved!!
