The first interview, with Andrea Rossi, is very brief, and mostly concerns his research contract with the University of Bologna. According to Rossi the research will be conducted over two years, with the first results expected in one year.

From the Krivit article:

However, the university had not signed a contract with Rossi at that time, and Rossi has yet to pay anything to the university, as Paolo Capiluppi, the head of the Department of Physics at the University of Bologna, told me in a phone call on June 24.

Rossi has history and the University of Bologna has history, know which one I believe more.
I seriously wonder about the depth of his involvement with the university.

Lots of statements "According to Rossi" not too many "According to the University of Bologna".
Just keeping Rossi's past accomplishments in mind :^)

"That time" was in March. Since the contract was only finally signed with the U. of B. on June 21st, and the phone call was on June 24th, it's not surprising that Rossi "had yet to pay anything".

In March, the contract was still under negotiation.
