Whew. Good thing America is "going Galt".
Maybe we can send Russia our money and factories too. Then we'll be really strong.

Gonna be in a food position to grab everything that’s there after the ice melts.

Can you imagine having the Arctic as your duty station. I think that would be worse than Diego Garcia...

My first thought: what a [bleep]ing duty station. They can have it.

They better be careful. Don’t wanna start a war with Canada.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the incursions of Canadian airspace by Russian aircraft over the past year. It’s been mentioned several times here before. Each time Canada would scramble fighters up to make them leave.

overt positioning for the eventual squabble over how to divide control of arctic resources. Russia plans ahead. Other interested parties are the US, Canada, Norway, Denmark (via greenland).
To: WoofDog123
Correct. Think Spratly Islands covered in ice/snow.

Recently a submarine had a Russian flag planted at North Pole on ocean floor.

Russia is positioning itself to control the arctic for energy purposes.
Who is gong to stop them?
Watch for China to do the same thing off Americas coastline.

RS-27 Topol-M is based on the MX peacekeeper missile. The Russians got the technology from Clinton under arms control agreements, including the independently targeted and maneuverable MIRV’s.
