We know Rollins latest track record: a failed Ross Perot campaign manager, and a failed Huckabee campaign manager. Is he going to do better this time?
There's an old Wall Street expression, "[Bad] investments are sold not bought." I think that covers this situation. Someone convinced Michele she needed a "heavyweight" pro like Rollins on her team. Rollins, Roger Stone, who ya got, they all dislike Palin and what she stands for, and what her success means.
Whoever she hired would have criticized Palin, or felt obliged professionally to do so on Michele's behalf; but Rollins tried to launch a death-match, and I think he was carrying water for the RNC, not Michele, when he did it -- how about that?
I think it's hard to measure Michele's responsibility for Rollins's remarks accurately without what frankly would be inside dope on an employer-employee relationship.
I think he exceeded his authority with malice aforethought, and did so knowing he had her in a corner if he went off the reservation; that she could only correct him by shooting herself in the foot. This in addition to her having been shot in the foot by her faithless hire.
Further, I suspect that a consideration in his boldness was the thought, or knowledge, that someone big and wide had his back at Party Central.
That's MHO so far, and I await more information and auguries to give a better opinion about it.
We really don't know that to be true. To put it in a meaningful context, the remainder of the GOP field hasnt gone on record with language nearly as critical of Sarah. That speaks volumes, dont you think?

Lets assume for a moment that this is true, and Rollins (a master manipulator) far exceeded his authority by going above and beyond his mandate when he needlessly denigrated and publicly attacked a friend. Bachmanns inability, or perhaps stark unwillingness, to extract a public apology from her campaign manager -Rollins- doesnt inspire confidence in her leadership skills, style, or for that matter, her judgment.
She’ll blow past Romney’s total $$$$ pile in the first 10 days after announcing. I predict if she runs, she will raise more cash than all other candidates combined.
