The Democrats are fighting so dirty abecause the evisceration of the unions will cost them huge amounts of money. It’s no exaggeration to say it will bleed them white.
I say we ought to go after the second leg of their three-legged stool too, and bring in tort reform that will put 80% of lawyers right out of business. We can finish them off for a generation at least, if we continue to fight just as viciously as they do.
The Left has engineered the country to support THEM financially via unions, teaching jobs, government jobs, NPR, subsidies, etc.
To win this war (and it IS a war), conservatives need to de-fund the Left. School vouchers, cutting lib departments in universities, cutting environmental regulator jobs, etc. will accomplish this.
Tort reform is also an important part, as well.
