'Nazi' police 'kidnap' woman at town hall
WND ^ | 7 6 2011 | Joe Kovacs

A small town in Arizona is suddenly a YouTube sensation after a town-hall meeting devolved into a physical clash as a woman was forcibly removed from speaking during the public portion of the event.

Jennifer "Jade" Jones, 45, of Quartzsite, Ariz., was taken into custody by local police at the behest of Quartzsite councilmembers, over the objections of the mayor, who pleaded with officers not to remove the woman.

The thing is, we have no information. I agree with you on that.

I don’t automatically assume a good shoot. You know as well as me that that you put together a group of people as big as the number of cops in the United States it is a crap shoot.

Good cops, bad cops, brave cops, fat cops, honest cops corrupt cops. Many cops have been all of these things in the course of a 20 year career.

I will not assume the side of the State. The State has far to much power and cops have too much personal immunity from criminal prosecution. Cops have again and again been trigger happy. They are trigger happy because they are shielded from criminal prosecution. So no, I will not automatically take the side of the State. That does not mean I support the right of bipolar alcoholics to gun down cops or anybody else. How come de-escalation is not a priority? Instead cops seem to wheel up, jump out, scream conflicting commands and open fire! But that’s because I am a small government conservative. (This is not our first tangle on this issue and won’t be our last).

Let me (attempt to) leave it at this: police today have an image problem, deserved or not, and it is getting worse fast. As I said earlier, I might not have been making these posts a short time ago but things have happened lately, things to which I am privy with first hand knowledge, which have brought this fact home to me in spades.
Police need to fix it themselves. I can’t do it for them.

100% agreed on all points. And maybe I was a bit out of line - I do that sometimes when I post in a hurry (busy morning).

No hard feelings, I hope.

Same goes here. I always try hard to make it a point to have no hard feelings over discussions on FR and other places but there are some occasional exceptions when dealing with leftward Dimocrat wingnuts on some forums DU. Have a good day. Now I need to go get some work done.

Sorry, but your legal description is wrong. See Model Codes for guidance.

Doctors get sue all the time they are not free to do what ever they want. They end up paying all the time, both in money and loss of license.

Look at many of these police shootings and you will see nothing happen to the police. Every once in a while one will be fired but otherwise they get away scot free, no personel responsibilty, the taxpayers pay.

In many cases the term Nazi is quite appropriate. Starts small and the police state grows..No one would stand for much of what goes on today as legal. As my dad use to say, chicken shi! politics in small towns can be nasty..

No it isn't actually. Kidnapping doesn't have an exact definition in most jurisdictions simply because it has variables, and being held for "nefarious purposes" is not a requirement. Even in the "Model Penal Codes" (which aren't actual codes but an example designed by the American Law Institute) they include "interfering with a governmental or political function" in the list of purposes. In this example, was the woman seized? Yes. Was she physically moved? Yes. Was she held against her will in order to silence her? Yes. Did she have the right to speak in that forum? Yes. Was she recognized by the person running the town meeting? Yes. Did the police have any legitimate reason to seize, remove, and silence this person? No.

That's called kidnapping among other crimes.

In many cases the term Nazi is quite appropriate.

It may be appropriate, it may be accurate. But it's used so often that on one listens to it anymore. Any legitimate comparisons are drowned out by the constant overuse of the term.

"Boynton Beach “Officer Of The Year” Suspected Of Drug Dealing"
You cops better take heed because you are losing the confidence of the public at an alarming pace.

Love the yellow fringed flag in the background:

Flags
GOLD FRINGED FLAG

The flags displayed in State courts and courts of the United States have gold or yellow fringes. That is your WARNING that you are entering into a foreign enclave, the same as if you are stepping into a foreign embassy and you will be under the jurisdiction of that flag. The flag with the gold or yellow fringe has no constitution, no laws, and no rules of court, and is not recognized by any nation on the earth, and is foreign to you and the United States of America. more information

MILITARY FLAG WITH THE GOLD FRINGE

Martial Law Flag “Pursuant to 4 U.S.C. chapter 1, §§1, 2, & 3; Executive Order 10834, August 21, 1959; 24 F.R.6865; a military flag is a flag that resembles the regular flag of the United States, except that it has a YELLOW FRINGE border on three sides. The President of the United States designates this deviation from the regular flag, by executive order, and in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the military. The placing of a fringe on the national flag, the dimensions of the flag and the arrangement of the stars in the union are matters of detail not controlled by statute, but are within the discretion of the President as Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy.” 34 Ops. Atty. Gen. 83.

President, Dwight David Eisenhower, by Executive Order No.10834, signed on August 21, 1959 and printed in the Federal Register at 24 F.R. 6865, pursuant to law, stated that: “A military flag is a flag that resembles the regular flag of the United States, except that it has a yellow fringe border on three sides.”

Illegals are allowed to roam, murder, drunk-drive, maim, home invade, etc. here in Arizona, but the jackbooted union thugs did a no-knock raid on a house and murdered Jose Guerena, Marine veteran. And probably would have murdered his wife but she was on the phone with the incompetent buffoons at 911.

I think that depends on where you live and varies from state, city, even county. I know most of the LEO officers in my town and I can assure you, they do not like that thing in the WH.... at ALL!! They would never be on his side.

A couple of months ago, La Raza students were allowed to chain themselves to Tucson Unified School District desks, chanting like savages, egged on by Marxist adults, halting the entire meeting. There were zero arrests or even warnings.

We’re in some sort of depraved, tipsy-turvy country now, innocent people are stripped of all 4th Amendment rights, but the guilty party on.

I did not mean that the arrest was planned, but the comments made by the woman were used by the Mayor to expose something that the rest of the council did not want exposed.

Now the question is how did the citizen get access to the video. I suspect it came from the Mayor. I am not sure however if the video is subject to the open meetings requirements there.

There is more to this than what was in the video.

I believe the case this freeper is referring to is the murder of John T. Williams in Seattle. Williams was partially deaf and a wood carver.

The man was carving a small wood carving knife while he crossed a street in front of a police car. The officer jumped from the car shouted ‘ drop the knife ‘ a few times and seconds later simply shot the man to death.

At no time did the wood carver turn to face the officer, he did not threaten the officer either. That is the finding of the Seattle police investigation and the testimony of the witnesses.

The police gave the mother of the victim over 1 million dollars and the cop resigned.

You watch this dash cam footage and tell me what happened. You'll be shocked.

From the quality of the video, I suspect it was from a phone or Flip. Why would you suspect the mayor did it and not another citizen and what difference does it make. The video speaks for itself.

The difference is that the Mayor supported her and the council opposed her so strongly to react illegally.

The accusation has been made, with no reference to source, that this is about auditing the payroll records of the city. And that this involves the councilmen being paid for “other services” out of city funds. If that is true, it would partially explain the reaction of the councilmen, and the support of the Mayor.

She was just in the middle of the dispute.

“Can we stop with all the Nazi references?” Agreed.

In this case, “Combat booted Thugs-N-Uniform” would be more accurate.
