Note to GM. your crap stinks and no one wants it. Polishing it just makes it a shiny turd.
You are apparently wrong. The Chevrolet Cruze was the #1 selling passenger car in the US in June. The Chevrolet Malibu was the #2 selling passenger car in June. They both beat the Corolla, Civic, Accord, Camry and all others.
What has been very difficult for GM is the West Coast (Left Coast). They haven't been able to break through there as they have in the more sane parts of the country. Note that this offer is only in Washington and Oregon. The west coast has been a difficult place for both GM and Ford. This has to do with the mindset of the type of people who live in these two states. California is probably too large to try this in and it might be that regulations make it difficult to enact there. This is just a marketing mechanism to see if they can break through the pig headed mindset that is so prevalent in these two states.

It wasn't my post, so I won't argue. Suggested correction:

I imagine everyone honest will be satisfied with that compromise (unless we have a GM-paid troll here pretending that the crap produced by that massively corrupt company is worth having). If we do have a paid GM troll, I don't expect that his posts will help the company. FR has critical thinkers who both do the research and have moral values. I doubt that many on FR would deal with GM any more willingly than they would buy an implausibly cheap computer that "fell off the back of a truck", even ignoring the fact that with GM the prices are about the same as from a reputable company.
GM delenda est.
