Three months after President Obama moved to end what he described as "the silliness" of the controversy over his birth certificate, the issue is back.
But this time it is the Democratic National Committee raising the issue in a pitch for campaign money.

Donors who send at least $44.00 are promised a "Made in the USA" President Obama coffee cup with a copy of the birth certificate printed on the side.
On April 27 the president tried put the "birther" issue to rest by releasing a photo copy of his 1961 birth certificate.
"We don't have time for this silliness," Obama said in high-profile remarks, including a CBS News "special report."
He complained that the controversy was "the dominant news story" at the same time that the White House and Congress were in the early stages of crucial budget talks.
"We're not going to be able to solve problems if we get sidetracked by sideshows and carnival barkers," Mr. Obama told reporters.

I’ve always thought that this would happen. The Bamster would be a drag on the Dems and they would remove him with the birther “discovery” in hope of finding a candidate with at least a chance.
My biggest fear is that they will kick this asshole to the street and run another candidate. If I were them, that is exactly what I would do.
So even to republicans “right and wrong” doesn’t matter when it gets in the way of winning an election. They deserve the coffee cups and T-shirts in their faces for not caring about the sham of a birth certificate Obama produced. Which was essentially committing fraud against the American people.
Unexpectedly, it has been found the cups were manufactured in China, and the birth certificate is Kenyan.
It’s not wise to gloat, Dems. It usually comes back to bite you, especially when you were in the wrong to begin with.

From THEIR perspective, the DNC is making fun of ‘birthers’ with this funraising gimmick. From THEIR perspective they are giving mugs/t-shirts with a simile of a genuine birth certificate.

The left has far too much invested in the impostor to make a late game sub. Guaranteed loser for them. The entitled class would be a no-show. I'd look forward to it.
I also suspect it is a planned diversion. The DNC may want to suck some viable R candidate into focusing on the phony birth certificate rather than the numerous other weaknesses of 0bammy (including the complete lack of any documented accomplishments or records)
Hopefully someone like Trump who was probably never a serious candidate but could get the media to report what he said, will take up the lack of pedigree of the 0. That might help the eventual ‘pubbie candidate to flail 0bammie and the DNC with their incompetence
