Fast and Furious is just Gunrunner updated in March-April 2009 by Holder and Melson. In this link, "Obama Orders Launched Fast and Furious" (video), DAG David Ogden outlines the additional resources and plans being implemented and he refers to Gunrunner. But everything he describes are known facets of Fast and Furious that the new ATF director, Melson, oversaw beginning around April 2009.

Making a distinction about the two names is almost meaningless. The real distinction, which would have to come out when/if Issa and Grassely get some people under oath and testifying, are the operational changes that went along with the beefed up resources and inclusion of more Fed agencies that occurred on 0bama's watch in the winter/spring of 2009.
