They make this sound like “new” news.. I was taught in college that we should talk to “comatose” or brain injured people ..keep orienting them ..discuss things when in the room and tell family to watch what they say in the hearing of the patient because we do not know the true level of awareness.. poor terri they hung crape all over her within her hearing

I agree with you completely. I was taught the same thing - although nursing school for me was 15 years ago & the death trolls have made lots of inroads since then. I am appalled at how the younger generation (I’m 34) talk about patients at work. THese little 20-somethings have lots to learn. Not only is their attitude callous, but their care of patients & work ethic is severely lacking.

I pray my family members & I all drop dead someday. I never want to be “cared” for by the people I see at work. It’s hellish.
