The head of trauma thanks me and in a very jovial manner says, In my day, the term for these patients was jellyfish. And he laughs and moves on, he said. What do you do with that?****************************
It's horrifying that a medical professional would express such a callous disregard for human beings.

It's horrifying that a medical professional would express such a callous disregard for human beings. In my experience, "medical professionals" can be THE most horrifying people on the planet.
They can also be the most compassionate.
But it is truly a realm of extremes. And when you find a bad one - they are REALLY bad.

Yes, it is horrifying. I used to think disabled people were overstating the problem of discrimination against them. I didn’t believe there could be very many people who had a low regard for disabled people. There’s no logical reason for it. Now I know there are a lot of people who hate disabled people to the point of wanting them tortured to death.

A lot of med people use morbid humor as a dodge from facing morbid reality every day.
It doesn't mean they are evil. Just scared, as everyone else.
Unless you follow Jesus!!!
