Geithner’s 48 hour deadline and 0bama’s threat to SS recipients and who knows who else.
McConnell’s statement was released mid-afternoon. 0bama/Reid/Pelosi don’t get the evening news cycle unobstructed, and the Dems must now defend not only their flanks, but also their rear. They must defend their own point of view now.

I do not know. There must be some explanation besides the GOP is just a wing of the RAT socialist Party. But what?

whut??????
why would this be a good idea?????
The man-child teenager stages a public tantrum so instead of cash they give him a checkbook and a line of credit?
It ain’t a debt ceiling, it’s a debt suggestion?
The so-called comet headed this way ain’t a comet so nothing matters after this year anyway?
WHUT?

Wait a minute, earlier today he was saying Obama was the problem that wouldn't be solved while he's in office, now this? The problem here is no one on this site, can read or think for themselves anymore.
Y'all sound like the yahoos SanFran Nan paints you to be.
McConnell proposes to make that loying prick in the White House, PUT IT IN WRITING. Taking away his political BS.
Right now, BarryO is positioning himself for max political gain, and zero downside.
Mitch's move kills that.

Seriously. I love this plan. Obama holds a leaky can of gasoline and McConnell just gave him a book of matches to play with.
LOL. I LOVE it!

Obama would take the money and give no cuts in return.
McConnell already put himself in a box by claiming the GOP won't let the country to “default”.

McConnell doesn't belong in a leadership position anyway. He acts and talks like a frightened turtle. A complete embarrassment. Almost any Republican in the Senate would be a better spokesperson.
To: Cementjungle
From article:
The Republican plan would require that Obama submit spending cuts along with his borrowing requests.

Oh boy! According to McConnell, Obama would take the political hit for requesting a raise in the debt ceiling. Very well might be, but where's the spending cuts McConnell? You dufus!

Please tell me this is a joke!! Either that, or someone must have drugged the guy! When facing a tough political situation the answer is NOT to award power to a would-be dictator in the hopes that people will blame him for the problems and not you... That’s the ONLY reason I can possibly see for this suggestion. To all the Republicans in Washington — how can you POSSIBLY be so selfish and narrow-minded, to even CONSIDER granting even MORE power to an already lopsided Executive Branch??? I really want to hear other Republicans blasting McConnell for even SUGGESTING this in the first place!
To: Popman
But once he has the money then he doesn’t have to cut regardless what he says.
