West seeks to revive colonialist empires, Ahmadinejad tells Bouteflika - June 21, 2011 - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that the Western countries are trying to restore old colonialist empires in the region. Ahmadinejad made the remarks during a telephone conversation with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Monday.He also said that the issues facing the African nations including Libya and Ivory Coast should be resolved without the intervention of outsiders. The leaders of the continent of Africa are certainly capable of settling the issues facing their region, Ahmadinejad noted.
The president added that the Islamic Republic always stands by the independent nations and is keen to share its experiences with these them in dealing with the Western powers plots. Bouteflika also said that the independent nations disapprove of the hegemonistic powers schemes for the region, so the regional leaders should give an appropriate response to the outsiders interventionist policies.
