Generic always beats a name.

The challenge is for us not to nominate a screw-up as the nominee.

(Cough Cough) Romney...McCain...Palin

Generic only beats a name when the name is unpopular -- as Obama surely is.

We are far from a guaranteed win next November, but at this point things are shaping up very well indeed.

There is absolutely no reason to put Palin in any category labeled "screw-up," as does befit Romney and McPain.

Through her personal work on behalf of the 2008 Republican ticket, Palin distinguished herself as a powerful, thoughtful speaker, who was ahead of the Dims' plans to demonize her. It seems even McPain's staff was helping covertly to lead the charge to discredit her, a seed that was probably known and planted before McLame ever nominated her.

Key to a Republican win is not to allow the media and Dims to select our nominee again through their malicious election tactics.
