So she’s not “fit to serve” but the incumbent POS is?

No.

Neither Barack Obama nor Michele Bachmann is fit to serve as President of the United States.

1.) Both were practically brand new in Congress when they declared their candidacy for the Presidency of the United States.

2.) Neither one of them had a single day of executive experience, in either the private sector or in government, when they declared.

3.) Both would be considered joke candidates if they were white males and were held to the standards that white males are still held to when running for the Presidency of the United States.

Once upon a time, conservatives prided themselves on basing their decisions on data and mocked liberals for basisng their decicisions on emotion. Now, too many conservative are acting the same way.

"Bill Clinton is reported to be a sexual assaulter." .... "The conservative trashing of Bill Clinton has begun! It is even being reported in a liberal newspaper!"

"Should we look into this?" ...... "George H. W. Bush is not a good President!"

"Ummm ... That's not my point. Shouldn't we look into the facts to see if they are true?" .... "He is so cute when he winks and smiles! Did you see him on TV last night!"

"Michele Bachmann is reported to crash under stress and be a pill-popper." .... "The liberal trashing of Michele Bachmann has begun! It is even being reported in a supposedly conservative site!"

"Should we look into this?" ...... "Barack Obama is not a good President!"

"Ummm ... That's not my point. Shouldn't we look into the facts to see if they are true?" .... "She is so cute when she smiles! Did you see her on TV last night!"

Not a Bachmann supporter but she was elected to Congress in 2006 while I believe Zero was only in the Senate 16 months or so.

I have never seen a social and fiscal conservative of the caliber of Michelle Bachmann slandered on this forum by Sarah zealots.

That was my point.

Folks that post that stuff here day after day are Sarah Palin supporters with a large mean streak for whom cult of personality trumps anything.

I thought I had seen worse here over other battles like amnesty, 2000, Schiavo and so forth but this takes the cake mainly given it’s unnecessary

I do not want to see Sarah get attacked her if she announces as Bachamnn has here since she got a little wind behind her sails.

It does nothing to advance our cause taring down good women.

They are both fine candidates.

But ok....we’ll see.

Palin smearing threads will be tolerated same as Bachmann threads are until she gets the nomination..if she does or if she announces?

Since Pissant is gone and Rabs quiet there is almost none of that now anyhow.

Even if American voters trusted her enough to give her the office, have you thought about the consequences of any POTUS decision made during one of the migraine attacks?

Set aside the constant lib/media attacks, how about our allies? How many of them will grumble (if not out right question) esp. if the decision is not to their liking?

Are we supposed to no longer question the fitness to lead because Obama was worse?

We had a previous president who suffered incapacitating migraines, for up to six weeks at a time. His name was Thomas Jefferson. Obviously not fit to serve. Ol' Tom just wasn't presidential material, right?

In the 21st Century, no, he wouldn't be.

In 1801, a fully loaded troop ship typically took between 8 to 10 weeks to make the Atlantic crossing.

In 2011, it takes an ICBM only 30 to 35 minutes to strike a target anywhere in the World.

Unless you fully intend to have a shared Co-Presidency with extensive use of the 25th Amendment, an individual that suffers an "incapacitating" medical condition, for up to six weeks at a time, is simply not capable of performing the leadership tasks required of a 21st Century President of the United States.

At the dawn of the 19th Century, when it took far longer than 6 weeks to send a message to the Prime Miniter of Great Britain and to get a reply back to America, your mileage obviously varied.

So because she hasn't been in the Gov't her whole life, she has no business running things? Her and her husband have a small business. It's not like she has been laying about not contributing to the strength of the country prior to her House Run.

I am not really into slamming Conservative Activists like you are. She has been in the trenches with us helping the cause. In no way would I compare Bachmann to Obummer. She has just as good a chance to be successful as POTUS as the other Conservatives running.

Michele has since responded (see #208.) But to answer your first question - yes, I have considered it and it concerns me because I know how seriously I am affected by migraines.

We have no evidence whatsoever that she even has migraines. That is why we are slamming this hacky piece. 3 unnamed sources with no tangible evidence equals a typical MSM style smear. Not anything that matters.

What makes you so sure any of this is remotely true? Politico routinely prints bold faced lies against Palin just to get noticed. Remember Jonathan Martins piece a few month ago that Palin was a Diva? Cited Rush, Hannity and Levin as sources for the info. All three immediately proved it a lie. No retraction from Politico to this day.

I won’t support Bachmann, but not because of this.

Her spokesperson has responded, but she did not address the supposedly urgent care center visits (at least three times from the ‘hit piece’). And she can not brush it aside and say these ‘don’t affect her work’.

No evidence that this is an issue. I just did a quick check of her missed votes in the House. If she were sick, she would miss lot’s of votes. The article says this is a once a week event. She did miss votes, but the article contrasts the misses with Tea Party events and Media interviews.

Call her a media whore if you want, but I don’t see this as an issue. Just another smear on a solid Conservative.

Eagleton had manic-depressive psychosis with a history of electroshock therapies.

At the time, I thought that the possibility of a Commander-in-Chief with such an incapacitating condition was sheer lunacy.

Not quite the same as migraines, which can hit anyone.

Well, no, migraines do not "hit anyone".

Unless there has been deliberate fraud during the certification process, migraines do not routinely strike U.S. pilots where "incapacitation" is simply out of the question. Migraine headaches that are "incapacitating" are an absolute disqualification.

American Society of Aerospace Medicine Specialists ..... A documented history of migraine (or severe) headache or of any recurrent or incapacitating headache would be disqualifying for duty involving flying in military aviation. Any history of disabling migraine headache must be considered disqualifying for flying duties.

It all boils down to whether or not you want the pilot of your aircraft "incapacitated" when the aircraft needs to fight or land and if you want your Commander-in-Chief "incapacitated" for a few days at a time in the age when it only takes an ICBM 35 minutes to strike at any point in the World.

Plus, add to that the "heavy pill usage" that is, as yet, unexplained but that you want to sweep under the rug as quickly as possible. "Move along, folks. Nothing to see here. Move along."

Plus, add the fact that Michele Bachmann has absolutely ZERO executive experience, not even the Chairmanship of a Committee, in either the private or the public sector. America will not fall for that One Big Ass Mistake Again.

America wants a President of the United States:

1.) With plenty of executive experience
2.) Who will not be "incapacitated" for days at a time during a potential crisis
3.) Who will not be looking to Marcus Bachmann during a crisis to tell her what to do so that she can be "submissive" to him and therefore fulfill what she believes is her religious duty to God.

==================

Bachmann:(At 1:25) Did what Marcus Bacmann told her to do, regarding her post graduate education, even though she does not want to, because she says it is her religious duty to be "submissive" to Marcus Bachmann

In this speech at a mega-church in the Minneapolis area back in 2006, Michele Bachmann explained her decision to pursue tax law wasn't her choice. Her husband, Marcus told her "to go and get a post-doctorate degree in tax law." This was not what Michele wanted. ("Tax law? I hate taxes!"), but she was believed that God was speaking through her husband. "Why should I go and do something like that? But the Lord says, 'Be submissive wives; you are to be submissive to your husbands.”

==================

As the GOP nominee, Michele Bachmann would be a Christine O'Donnell electoral disaster on steroids just waiting to happen in November of 2012.

>>> Just another smear on a solid Conservative.

She is solidly conservative on some issues, but not on the whole. Again, she may be conservative enough, but not presidential material. But that is just my personal view.

>>> Call her a media whore if you want, ...

It did not come from me.

People think Bachmann got the Palin treatment and voting for MB because these media attacks, yet refuse to even take a second look at SP. It tells me at this point people are not thinking or behaving rationally.

The onset for most female migraine sufferers is usually puberty and lessen or go away with the first pregnancy. If they go go away then, they usually do at the onset of menopause; or at least come less frequently and far less powerfully.

I had my first * that I remember ) migraine at the age of six and it was a doozy!

Yes, the birth of my first child lessened the frequency, but they did keep coming. Menopause almost stopped them; however I still get blinding auras and once in a an extremely RARE while, a migraine, which is easily treated with an over the counter, aspirinless med.

That Bachmann is still having such horrific migraines ( if they ARE even migraines ! ), after having birthed five kids AND going through menopause, which has to have done, at her age, then something is really, really, REALLY seriously wrong there and she needs to come clean about it all.

I'm sorry that you had it so bad, but happy for you, that you no longer get them. :-)

People who've never had a migraine or a cluster headache have NO idea just how bad they are, nor just how debilitating.

Thanks for the ping. :-)

I get migraines, too. Used to be about once a year. Then for a bit it was once a month. Was debilitating when they hit.

Learned some relaxation and biofeedback techniques. Now I can feel them coming and usually knock them out before they hit. At least lessen them.

Probably wouldn’t work for everyone, but may I suggest you look into self-hypnosis and relaxation techniques?

PS I’m not hypnotizable, except by myself. Just takes practice.

He's married and has four children. I don't know what his problem is unless it's the usual DC ‘cocktail party invite’ sickness.

He often uses a technique known as "irony"...but actual irony, not the new-fangled, Alanis Morissette "interesting coincidence" situational irony. It can be a very effective rhetorical device, but it seems to be lost on many people these days. But I get a kick out of how he gets lefties to argue againt themselves.

Tucker Carlson is not a RINO--he's a mainstream conservative...unless you have to be a SoCon to get that definition.
