A Florida teenager accused of beating his parents to death with a hammer -- then throwing a party while their bodies lay in a bedroom of the family home -- told his best friend he had committed the crimes, according to a police report released Wednesday.
Tyler Hadley, 17, gave a chilling account of the crimes to his friend, identified as Michael Mandell by media but referred to in an affidavit only as MM, during the party Saturday night.
Mandell told WPTV that Hadley said he had taken three ecstasy pills before murdering his parents.

Bah, things like this hardly ever happen without warning signs. I’m more afraid of my wife going crazy than my kids anyway, she knows when I’m sleeping and where the axe is.

This crime happened in Port St. Lucie, Florida. It’s sad. It’s even sadder I live here. Rush makes fun of Port St. Lucie, I don’t imagine that will stop. What kind of kid kills his parents and then throws a party with his dead parents lock in a room? Unbelievable!
Remember the girl from Florida. She and her boyfriend killed her mother with a crystal candlestick. She got accepted to Harvard.
Unfortunately she later dated another young man in another state whose father worked for a newspaper. The father was so impressed by the orphan girl that he wrote a glowing story about her in the local paper. The jig was up. Harvard withdrew the acceptance.
BTW the former boyfriend ended up doing time for the murder. I don’t think she ever did.

I read the headline and my first thought was Casey Anthony was there to finish the job.
