I heard a lot of crawfishing in Boehner’s answers, and a lot of misdirection as well. The miserable whining jerk is plotting a surrender without a fight. “I have to make the tough choices for teh American People.” (Translation: “I’m caving.”) He called Limbaugh merely to take the pressure off the other House members who would otherwise be getting the same flood of calls against any deal.

Boehner seems incapable of recognizing that he holds all of the cards. All he need do is wait the Dear Leader out. The CNN poll referenced nearby is proof that the public understands the simplicity of the issue. But, as the Stupid Party always seems to do, they are throwing in the towel and surrendering at the first sign of the enemy.

If he floats a deal that contains any tax increases of any kind, or a 10-year horizon for cuts, the Tea Party Caucus needs to remove Boehner from the Speakership. This is truly the last straw.

The least that Boehner could do is demand that the cap and balance plan be put to a vote in the Senate, before any further negotiations take place.

Make the Senate go on record on cap and balance and make Obama veto it if it passes.

Obama himself is starting to wobble (showing willingness for short-term deal).

As far as “long term” cuts, they never work, so the best way is to cut as much as possible now. If they want to throw in long term stuff to capitulate some people fine...

Believe me, he’s feeling the heat. If he caves, I think he knows that Paul Ryan will likely be the next Speaker the first of next year. I don’t care which motivator, personal or altruistic, works - just as long as it DOES.

And when are the Republicans going to take their case to the people and explain it well? I’m so sick of seeing all these POS tv commercials by BHO’s fans the AARP with the old folks scolding about medicare and social security cuts.

The R’s, at the very least, should run some telling everyone about the $500B in Medicare cuts guaranteed in Obamacare. And they should also do one telling people the truth that even if the debt ceiling isn’t raised, there’s enough revenue to pay the debt interest, social security checks, medicare/medicaid, military pay and pensions with some left over.

The public is woefully ignorant and easy prey to all the media propaganda from BHO and the Left.
