Jeb Bush Doesn't 'Anticipate' A Run For Prez. (RPOF Friends Say 50/50 Chance He's In)
Ploitico / Hannity ^ | Updated: 7/23/11 1:17 PM EDT | MAGGIE HABERMAN

Posted on 07/24/2011 10:59:00 AM PDT by MindBender26

Jeb Bush, who has made clear he isn't running for president this cycle, raised some eyebrows on Sean Hannity's Fox News show Friday night with this comment about a potential campaign:

"I don’t anticipate that. You never say never. This is a standard answer that I’ve kind of learned how to give which is — you never say never, but I never rule out being on Dancing with the Stars either … there are a lot of ways you can make a difference."

He went on, with respect to whether any of the current field can win, "If you recall, my dad in 1992 had an approval rating that was double what President Obama has right now and he was running against the seven dwarfs I think. … And one of those dwarfs became president … dwarf, you know President Clinton, so the notion that somehow these aren’t folks that are capable of winning I just think is ridiculous. These are good people."

They're also, per Bush, "capable. They’ve made the all-in commitment and this yearning for something else is very flattering for someone if you’re that someone else. But in reality I think this race, we have qualified candidates and as it gets closer to the primaries to the caucuses and primaries, I think people will begin to see the mettle of the men and women that are running."

>>Bush broke his oath in that instance.<<

.
Bush could correct that right now, but he has no intention to do so. The question is, whose side is he on, Obama’s or the American people’s?

And so begins the latest Establishment “fan dance”. I remember the same thing in 1980 with pleas for Gerald Ford to come out of retirement to stop Ronald Reagan. Jeb is the guy who advised the GOP to get over its love affair with Reagan.

I say: Let him get in. Let’s see if he can take Palin on and beat her. He and Mitt would duke it out for the 20% of the moderates while Palin would clean both their clocks with the 70% who are conservatives.

Jebbie ain’t getting in for the same reason that Huck decided against it. Neither of them want to get whipped by “the girl.”

And she would beat Jeb Bush like a yard dog. If Jeb did get in, we would be finished with the Bushes once and for all.

he brings the Hispanic vote, which will be critical for next 20 years.

He'd also bring more constant pushes for amnesty for illegals, which, if ever successful, would bring 50 million plus new Hispanic citizens and Democrat majorities for the next several generations, and maybe permanently.

It is almost beyond belief that there are still Republicans or conservatives who think Hispanic votes can be won for the future by trying to out-amnesty and out-pander the Dims.

Jeb would be just as destructive to Republican fortunes as W was, and as their father was. They all ride in on their name and the Republican strength built up by others, and then fritter it away with their RINO, pandering methods of governing, leaving the party weakened and out-of-power.

A question is: How many voters have yet learned that?

It's probably going to take 10 or 20 years before the Bush name is electable. Too many Americans totally blame Bush for the financial meltdown.

I think the establishment republicans are going to get behind someone like Governor Perry, and the grass roots are going to be for someone more like Palin, Bachmann, or Cain.

If you have never read “A Choice, Not an Echo”, read it to see how the establishment can steal the people's choice. Then, if you really want to stop the establishment juggernaut, run to become a precinct captain.

That is the only chance the grass roots has at wresting control of the party from the big government globalists.

“He’s also a “green” republican who was solely responsible for the forced confiscation of over 65,000 acres of private property in my area. A lot of people I know and loved got royally handed a huge plate of s*** by Jebby.”

I have never heard anything about this incident, but I no longer live in Florida. Could you elaborate or say where can I find out more about this 65,000 acres of private land, which I gather was “eminemt domained”?

Umm.... Two fantastic Supreme Court justices just to remind you.

Who were those two fantastic choices? Alberto Gonzalez and Harriet Miers?

Oh, maybe you don't mean W's SCOTUS first choices, but Roberts and Alito whom W was forced to choose after the fact by inside pressure in one case, and outside pressure in the other.

“Watch his interviews closely, he can barely conceal his extreme displeasure.”

Like the clan matriarch Herself.

This family of stealth globalists has done more harm to conservatism than the Kennedys and Daleys and Clintons combined.

Jeb Bush’s complicity in the murder of Terri Schiavo is all we need to know. I’ll never forgive him.

*******************************

On that incident, even giving him full marks for good intention, just for the sake of argument, it shows a timidity and craven lassitude that is fatal in an executive.

No. More. Bush. Anything.

Weighed in the balances and found wanting.

The only reason I voted for him and the only thing he got right, after trying like hell to blow that too.

As I recall, 1928 was the last time the Republicans won the Presidency without a Bush or a Nixon as one of the top two. Wonder what Julie and Patricia are doing these days.

The first two Bushes were disasters. I along with 70%, at least, will never vote for another Bush.

We may need a constitutional amendment, prohibiting close family members (parents, siblings, offspring, spouses - heck, let's throw in cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, etc.) of current or former presidents from holding that office. We don't need any more Kennedys, Clintons, or Bushs, period.
