Of course its happening. People aren’t investing in America anywhere, we’ve lost at least $200 Billion in investments from around the world and what do you think is causing outsourcing?

The next phase is just giving up completely.

The left will think it’s wonderful, for a short while.

These idiots want to redistribute the pies but they also want to shut down the bakeries.

Mr. Bryant can’t be an Ayn Rand hero. He shows too much concern for ordinary people.
*********************
There is no such thing as “ordinary people”. We are ordinary or extraordinary as we so choose to be. And, when we choose to be ordinary that is okay, it does not require any special treatment.

And what will those people do when they get their wish and most of their town is unemployed?

“By what right…..by what code…..by what standard?”

"Until and unless you discover that money is the root of all good, you ask for your own destruction. When money ceases to be the tool by which men deal with one another, then men become the tools of men. Blood, whips and guns – or dollars. Take your choice – there is no other – and your time is running out."

Quotes from "Atlas Shrugged" (Ayn Rand)

He was no doubt born with a silver spoon in his mouth AND a corporate jet!!

Your comment is in jest, but he is the son of a Birmingham steel worker during the era when Birmingham was a major steel town. Knew him at the University of Alabama.

Thanks, but I’m good. I have an 1100 gallon rainwater tank under my deck.

I may be having lunch with Laz in a couple weeks. I’ll try to remember to ping you too, once we have it set up.

Less than one minute apart ...mirrors of thought and impact.

I've seen this occur hundreds of times. It is a Free Republic phenomenon that I have never witnessed anywhere else on the net.

The “ordinary people” are getting what they wanted and voted for. Read the article, people were begging for the jobs to be shut down.

The collapse of America will come with thundering applause from “ordinary people”

Route797 said: "He shows too much concern for ordinary people."

What is it about "ordinary people" that you think caused Ayn Rand to have no concern about them?

Are you talking about "ordinary people" who get up every day and work hard for their employer, recognizing that their success is only assured by their employer's success?

Are you talking about "ordinary people" who save for their own future and consistently spend less than they earn, and who would feel shame to be unnecessarily dependent upon others?

Why don't you describe some of the "ordinary people" that Ayn Rand didn't care about.

"Truth is this country has made having employees a tremendous, beuracratic, expensive, legal risk."

Good post, and that line says it all. People whine about businesses moving their operations overseas, but the reality of the situation is that the government has created enormous barriers to operating a business in this country. EEOC, OSHA, EPA - all are acting to choke the life out of this country, and nobody in the media wants to say "boo" about it.
