They have a deal.
There is no other reason for Obama to go on television in primetime.
Look for all the platitudes and compromises and that both parties made significant sacrifices to get this monumental deal done.
Finally, look for Obama building himself up that it was because of his leadership that this got done.
Tomorrow the MSM will talk about obama’s courageous stance in fighting the evil republicans. Reid will blame the republicans for not getting Obama what he needed to complete the job and if this doesn’t work it will be the republicans fault.
Then look for Boehner to tell us this was the best thing for the country and politics was tossed aside.
In other words, Obama got his money, the can was kicked down the road and republicans can say no taxes were raised for the deal to get done.
Basically, America got screwed again.

I’m afraid you’re right. Boehner didn’t seem too happy with what the senate rammed down his throat. In fact, I thought he was going to cry.
Another sea change election coming in 2012. The Repubs have to hold the line or those that don't will get washed out in it along with the dems.
So far the House has done some good things. Voted to Repeal Obama Care, Passed Cut, Cap and Balance, and a number of other things. The Senate and the Admin pooh pooh on it and will not let it go farther, but the people see it and want more and they know who to blame and I believe will go a long ways towards fixing it come 2012 elections.
I pray it is so.
We’ll see. There are other reasons he goes on TV. This will be like Friday, IMO. I doubt there is a deal.
