I was just given the following bullet points from one of the individuals who got briefed at the staff level on John Boehner’s proposal:

On background if you would please, just left the meeting on the Boehner deal.

Some highlights:

1. Outlay reduction for FY 12 – $25 billion cut in discretionary spending.
2. Debt limit increase right away – $1 trillion

5. Joint Select Cmte Created – 12 Members, if Commission recs pass on entitlement reform, then Pres gets another debt limit increase
6. Budget Authority in FY 12 is $ 7 billion less than FY 11 in discretionary spending.

So is Obama getting his tax hikes?

Is he getting more in debt limit rise than overall cuts?

Didn't think so.

Yuch. Well, don’t underestimate Obama’s desire to slapdown his enemies when he thinks he can get away with it.

Yeppers

CR Deal Re-Duex.

It is obvious that hacks on both sides are not capable of solving our spending crisis. Therefore, most need to be retired. Only a new conservative congress can save our country now.

Before people start making mass assumptions, lets find out what is actually in the proposal.

After all, arent we supposed to READ the bill instead of taking someone else’s word for it?

Agree, this can’t be correct. If it is Boehner should just go shoot himself.

A super Congress of 12 members? Insane and definitely outside the realm of small federal gov. standards of the Constitution. Better not happen!

28 billion is not sufficient to make this work. That means another 1.5 T added to the deficit next year. The number just don’t work.

May as well be no cuts at all. I’m saddened but i don’t think the House takes it.

I would prefer to read John’s actual proposal before I hang him. So far he has exceeded my expectations and played every hand like a pro.

RINO plan all the way.

He’s a great example of the type of person to fire in 2012.

$25 billion cut in discretionary spending

All this drama and all they can come up with is not to buy any paper clips in 2012? Wonderful.

I’m pretty sure boehner would prefer that true conservatives NOT read it. He will be aking us to bend over for the elites once again.

Agreed.

We have weeks. It may be time to just wait.
