What an excellent video. Too often the truth has been supplanted by mendacity, and soundbites substituted for facts. I applaud the Israeli’s for making this video.

We need more like this. A video a week, perhaps.

Also, there are important books that are only available in Hebrew, such as President Yitzchak Ben Tzvi’s Hayishuv Hayehudi Bizman Haotoman (Jewish settlement in the time of the Ottoman Empire), which uses English, Turkish and Arabic sources to give an accurate demographic picture, or Arucha Haderech Lecherut by Yaakov Meridor, about his experiences in British prison and subsequent escape from exile in Khartoum. I’m in the process of reading both, slowly, my modern Hebrew being just adequate. I also saw in the library a history of those hung fighting the Mandate, with an introduction by Rabbi Aryeh Levine (ZT”L). When Joan Peters shook the world in 1984, they attacked everything they could, which meant they had no answer for her facts. But as a result, her book From Time Immemorial was successfully ignored. Ben Tzvi has been ignored because he writes in Hebrew. But if his study were available in English, Joan Peters would no longer stand alone.
