...unfortunately we have only one half of one branch of government. The real prize is 2012, and that’s where we can make the big difference for the country.

They need to cut the size of this corrupt government so much and the taxes so deep that I will hear every socialist liberal in America, in the old media, and the White house scream like a little girl all the way to Afghanistan!

Then and only then will I and the American people know that our Nation's future will be assured!

But we have the half that controls the spending and the taxing. Can’t raise spending or the taxing without our half approving it, so, don’t approve it! Our tea party freshmen should be encouraged to hold the line against spending or raising the taxes! Reinforcements are coming in 2012! Hold the line!! Don’t cave in!! No retreat, no surrender!! NO DEALS!!

Boehner and the others don't get it! The American people want this fight more than ever! What in the hell do these knee jerk idiots think the message was last election that smashed the socialist liberals in their mouth!

Fight to the last man or women, the very survival of our Nation depends on it!

Don't ask me to stand and take a round for this Country, if the elected representatives in the US House won't stand up for this Nation in her hour of desperate need!

That explains it, since I almost never watch TV anymore...So whats she saying? Any hints?

From your posts about her, you'd need a sledge hammer, not a hint!

From her Facebook site:

Lame Duck President by Sarah Palin on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 9:11pm

After listening to the President’s press conference today, let’s keep in mind the following:

This is the same president who proposed an absurdly irresponsible budget that would increase our debt by trillions of dollars, and whose party failed to even put forward a budget in over 800 days! This is the same president who is pushing our country to the brink because of his reckless spending on things like the nearly trillion dollar “stimulus” boondoggle. This is the same president who ignored his own debt commission’s recommendations and demonized the voices of fiscal sanity who proposed responsible plans to reform our entitlement programs and rein in our dangerous debt trajectory. This is the same president who wanted to push through an increase in the debt ceiling that didn’t include any cuts in government spending! This is the same president who wants to slam Americans with tax hikes to cover his reckless spending, but has threatened to veto a bill proposing a balanced budget amendment. This is the same president who hasn’t put forward a responsible plan himself, but has rejected reasonable proposals that would tackle our debt. This is the same president who still refuses to understand that the American electorate rejected his big government agenda last November. As I said in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Tax Day Tea Party rally, “We don’t want it. We can’t afford it. And we are unwilling to pay for it.”

Now the President is outraged because the GOP House leadership called his bluff and ended discussions with him because they deemed him an obstruction to any real solution to the debt crisis.

He has been deemed a lame duck president. And he is angry now because he is being treated as such.

His foreign policy strategy has been described as “leading from behind.” Well, that’s his domestic policy strategy as well. Why should he be surprised that he’s been left behind in the negotiations when he’s been leading from behind on this debt crisis?

Thank you, GOP House leaders. Please don’t get wobbly on us now.

2012 can’t come soon enough.

“We the Taxed Enough Already people sent you Republicans up there to CUT the government, CUT the spending, and CUT the taxes!! Now, dammit, get off your butts, quit playing footsie with the corrupt bastards and do your JOB!!”

Exactly how I feel about it. Our guys can’t come up with something better than “allow Obama to spend now, but demand cuts 10 years from now [that everyone knows will never happen].” This is a PLAN??? This is OUR party’s plan...???!!!

Well, I hope you are right, because I would like to see her run, and win.

I dont watch TV much ( I see it more in airport waiting areas than at home ), dont buy the left papers, and I never embraced, Facebook, twitter, or whatever social networking fad is latest.

I do check a few news web site including FR frequently. Just saying the news about her on these has been quiet mostly. And even her own site does not speak of running, though she says all the things I would like to hear from a candidate.

Hope she commits soon, and if its her strategery to hold off, then she knows better than I.

I believe she is much more credible than Bachmann, having been a governor. Would rather see Bachmann as House Majority Leader. Would also like to see the GOP elect Sarah as most qualified, conservative, likable candidate, and take the issue of empowering women and minorities away from the ass party.

FRegards

The only plan that stops the credit downgrade is Cut, Cap and Balance.

Why can’t the Republicans get that message out?!

The Senate Republicans should walk out until Reid brings Cut, Cap and Balance to a vote.

It is time to get ugly.

” We don’t need a higher credit limit or higher taxes. We need to cut the damned government! Cut the spending! Cut the stifling regulations! Cut the taxes!! Cut it NOW!! Not ten years from now, not five years from now, not two years from now, CUT IT NOW!! “

Best comments I have seen from you or anyone else here in 10 years. If they don’t heed your advice, all hell will break loose in our great country.

If for purposes of debate you logically split congress into two branches, our constitution was set up with four branches of government with each branch holding veto power over the other three branches. Only the President's veto can be overridden. Every piece of legislation has to be approved by the House, Senate, and White House and then upheld by the SCOTUS if challenged in court. These are the checks and balances on power set up by the Founding Fathers with the intent of preventing the development of the kind of massive, incredibly costly, overbearing, and intrusive federal government that we have today. Over the last 50 years our constitution hasn't worked very well because the four branches have been so much in alignment with each other, and that has lead to the abusive and intrusive Big Government that we have today in Washington.

Finally the House is moving away from the steady push towards a bigger and more costly federal government, and is beginning to use its veto power to rein in the big spenders and taxers in the senate and the White House. This is exactly the way our constitution was intended to work. The senate and the White House have to accept the lowest amount of spending and borrowing approved by the House, just as the House has to accept the lowest amount of spending on any program that is approved by the senate and the White House. Democrat leaders need to accept the reality that our constitution is finally working just as intended to rein in our huge, intrusive, and economically destructive federal government. The White House needs to understand that the House does have the constitutional power to put the senate and White House on a budget, limit their spending, and tell them "this is all you get to spend...you're now on a real budget." That would be a good step for the White House to take right now...to get a grip on reality and the truth that they can't spend or borrow any more than the 435 people in the House allow them to spend and borrow. Obama isn't the only one with veto power--the House also has veto power over spending and borrowing.

Another move in the right direction would be for the White House to drop their hard line negotiating rhetoric, stop their endless juvenile veto threats, show some respect for the House Republicans, and stop insulting very bright people like John Boehner, Eric Cantor, and Paul Ryan. If the people who ran our federal government over the last fifty years had been as smart, courageous, and responsible as Boehner, Cantor, and Ryan, then we wouldn't be in the fiscal mess that we're in today.

"If it’s someone like Romney as the GOP nominee and Palin goes TEA Party, I’m there. No way in hell will I vote for an abortionist, liberty-hating, mandate-loving RINO for president!"

If she doesn't run (but I do think she will), I will be writing her name in and let the chips fall where they may.

I want off this crazy a$$ backwards train and just hope I can hang on until August (which is the month I believe Sarah will throw herself in w/ a cut the budget plan).

"I really liked Sarah, I still want to like Sarah. But I am not hearing anything from Sarah lately."

It's usually the "quiet ones" you must watch out for.

Sarahs been doing that all along. Who knows, perhaps she is working on her own "gut the budget" she will bring forth when she declares her run for POTUS.
