I’ve had a long lasting leg wound, no where as bad or as long lasting as yours. They treated it with an antibiotic also good for treating the Black Death. It is just finished healing. They were thinking of using maggots to remove the dead flesh. All in all I’d prefer honey.

I use honey and cortisone on my legs. It does help but it has to be all the time.

Great! Congratulations! I’ve heard of the maggot treatment. Much prefer the honey. They also pick and scrape off some of the dead stuff and gunk that doesn’t wash out each time they clean the wound. But I guess the honey has antibiotic properties and also helps keep the wound bed relatively clean.
