McCain rips Toomey on Senate floor (McCain attacks Tea Party vision as "flawed" and "terrible")
The Morning Call, Allentown, Pa. ^ | 2011-07-31 | Colby Itkowitz

Former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, who this week referred to Tea Party lawmakers as "hobbits," publicly criticized Pennsylvania's Pat Toomey Sunday during an unusual unscripted debate on the Senate floor.

McCain, who appeared to be having a great 'ol time during a back and forth with Democrat Majority Whip Sen. Dick Durbin, referred to Toomey and those who share his views as "terrible."

"...the terrible obstructionists on this side of the aisle, the terrible people, their flawed philosophical views about the future of America..."

Nothing like kicking your base in the teeth... ‘hobbits’ indeed.

What an ASS.

No use to get mad at this pile of human dung. He’s doing what he’s always done. Smiling at us when he needs a vote and stabing us in the back when he dosen’t.

What we need to do is make sure we put in a bunch of good tea party people next time in the Senate and then he can be relagated to the back bench to roll his few last marbles around in his head and drool.................

Then this morning on FOX he tells everybody the TEA Party can count "this" as a victory because without them no one was prepared to force the President to backdown from his demand for new taxes.

Hmm ~ me thinketh el McCain speaketh with forked tongues!

Oh, yes ~ catch him in a situation where the chunky daughter doesn't have a chance to feed him his lines through the secret earphone then he says different stuff (as his mind drifts along).

McCain’s villification of conservatives is designed to put the freshman Tea Party conservatives in their place.

Well eff McCaine! I hope the Tea Party Caucus of the HOuse looks at this Bill and rejects it for the POS it is.

I would love to see thjis deal broken, and default brought on. It would not be nnearly qas catastrophic as everyone is saying, and it was CREATED BY OBAMA AS A CRISIS.

Eff Obama, and Royally EFF John McCain.

Give me a break! You want me to be honest? Okay, I’m sick of you Palinbots who believe she can do no wrong and are constantly rewriting her history. She couldn’t have supported him any more than she did. He is there making these comments BECAUSE OF HER! Had she campaigned for some Rhino in your state, you would have voted for him/her because you’re a Palinbot.

Could she be trashed in the media or by her own party anymore than she already is? That can’t be her reason. She did it because she doesn’t get it. It’s a just job to her.

I saw this same kind of junk in the last primary with all the mindless Fred Thompson support. It didn’t matter what he said or did. His celebrity overshadowed his mediocre conservative credentials.

Same with Palin. No agenda. That’s just what I honestly think. I don’t have a candidate I’m stuck on and probably won’t even bother voting.

Hey McCain, you’re so fond of reaching out to dems, how about reaching across the aisle to the conservatives within the GOP? If you attacked the dems as much as the Tea Party types, you might actually have some credibility.

But you don’t.

Perhaps if the GOP hadn’t compromised for the past 20 years we would be in this pickle.

Therein lies the crux of the problem. There's been WAYYYY too much "give" and not nearly enough "take" in the GOP's dealings with the enemy.

Constitutional Government is like a cross to a demon to the entrenched RinoCracy in DC.

The wailing is only getting louder from this point on...

I’m glad he expressed his views openly.

Now here are my views:

“HINO’s against RINO’s”

Good - you should feel better now. It's good to get that venom out all at once, than one little squirt at a time.

He is there making these comments BECAUSE OF HER!

WOW! Then she's more powerful than a locomotive ---- and she didn't speak against the TEA Party.

Could she be trashed in the media or by her own party anymore than she already is

Sure, she has you and your ilk.

Had she campaigned for some Rhino in your state, you would have voted for him/her because you’re a Palinbot..

See - more screwed up thinking on your part - thinking you know what I and other conserversative will do and the reason for Juan's speech. Keep that day job! If America is looking for a physic - it wouldn't be you. Now take care of that sickness - the rino's need you.

There is no surprise in learning that socialist McCain would despise the Tea Party Patriots...the feelin’s mutual there, McCain.

It’s the same old fight that the founders had.

The “ruling class” seeks to maintain their rule
and the individualists seek to make their own decisions.

McCain just thinks he’s part of those who “know better”,
and when they are thwarted, they throw a hissy fit.

Enough already with the respect for what he’s done FOR our country....It’s what he’s done TO our country since that should eternally brand him a traitor.

I posted this on another thread....

“McCain’s past heroism deserves the honors accorded to Benedict Arnold’s leg. Honor it, bury it and be done with it!

It’s become increasingly regrettable that McCain did not emulate Nathan Hale while in NVA custody.”

What are you talking about?

McCain won his primary against J D Hayworth and went on to win the election in 2010.

He will not have to run for reelection until 2016.

He’s not up for re-election until 2016

Wish he could be voted out sooner but AZ and the country are stuck with him.

Jackass.

While moderation in legislation is sometimes needed, per my previous comments, if the GOP is going to be successful in 2012, this kind of sh*t needs to stop.
