"As soon as I opened the door, somebody grabbed me and took me outside and put me on the grass," Tossa said. "The first thing I thought was they were terrorists who want to kill me because I served in Iraq."

The DEA agents were executing a search warrant.

“I kept asking, what’s going on?” he said. “And they held my neck to the ground so I can’t talk.”

According to the report, the DEA was executing a search warrant for Tossa’s landlord’s son, who apparently uses Tossa’s one-story house’s address for mailing.

“Before they raid any house, they should have more information,” Tossa said. “Not rumors.”

I think you are being rather pig headed.

Police swat teams do not do the research on the crime; they are sent out to get the suspect. It’s not their fault if they are given the wrong address but they get the hate and blame for it.

Brent said the swat teams are being used too much. That is no the decision of the swat team can make. Go after the Mayor and police cheif if local or after congress if Federal. If congress fined the offending agency a million bucks per mistake, that would stop quick.

Yes, any amount is enough. None is fine.

Why did you ask me if you will enjoy the summer?

I am sure.

But anyway - I was not asking you anything since as you should have noticed there was a period and not a question mark used at the end.

In addition, considering such a question would make no sense to a person with a reasonable mind, another possible word, such as “while” is easily enough substituted for.

Then maybe someday you will like spelling them all correctly too:

“Since makinmg assumptions is the best you've ever done we shouldn't be too hard on you.”

You know - I am actually glad to hear that.

Although, I find it hard to believe since you came back 9 hours later to Troll about a misused word that you failed to notice at the time.

What happened - you had a weird need to revisit the scene of your humiliation?

You must be a glutton for punishment.

And you are talk about “inanities”?

Forty years of pot smoking experience has made you: The King of Inanities.

Next time, brag about that!

Shaking my head. I think twits are to be ignored whenever possible. I keep telling myself that. So pot is a demon & I bet so are bikers & tats. lmao! And on the other hand people can drink themselves stupid & do all kinds of dangerous things & even drive drunk & kill people.... Hmmm most potheads I ever knew were mellow people. And now pot is used as a drug. Go figure. I guess that should be banned according to some people. Ignore twits, they just like to argue & badger people like fleas or gnats.

This guy never noticed someone else using the home he rents as a mailing address and put an end to it?

Then whines when it causes him trouble. Stupid ass.

Classic government strategy. When the victims complain about poor government performance, turn them into criminals.

Pretty common here lately.

Reminds me of Tacoma a few years ago when people were complaining about their cars getting stolen in their driveways while they were warming them up in the winter, and the government response was to outlaw warming up your car. Problem solved.

The bonus for them was they no longer had to chase the bad guys.

Pointing out the error of poor citizen performance is turning this man into a criminal?

Not really. If he was turned into a criminal he would have been arrested and either out on bail or sitting in a jail somewhere.

But you know what is typical?

Cop Haters and others of the sort, overreacting to an obvious honest mistake that is at least partially the blame of the victim and claiming "a police state" (as I have seen on this thread) because a man was placed on the grass.

Hey Thanks! Thank you for giving an excellent example of how the Cop Haters will eventually demoralize the police into becoming less effective. No doubt that if the police actually walked onto people's driveways or stopped everyone driving out of their property to seek identification so as to be able to arrest car thieves, the Cop Haters would be attacking them for doing exactly that and turning America into "a police state".

What do you think life will be like when the police are demoralized for a thankless job and start showing up hours or days later to a call for help?

If that is caused to happen then you will hear plenty of criticism of the police from me, but after I first rub the faces of the couple dozen Cop Haters into it.

There was no poor citizen performance. There was police incompetence. There is a difference.

Shortly after that, saturation patrols were sent out in Tacoma to go after law abiding citizens that dared warm up their cars.

The important thing is that the complaints by the citizens that were getting their cars stolen stopped, because now they are in the county lockup. A fine example of LE coming to the rescue.

Who are my “brethren”?

Your us-versus-them mentality shows you could very well be a Cop Hater.

We are all supposed to be Americans. Including the police.

Recent trends indicate that the police are the ones with the us-versus-them mentality. Calling us civilians and their SWAT team members "operators" indicates that they are the ones that have turned against us.

Police are Americans like you say but the recent behaviour exhibited by them like unnecessary use of SWAT and the surge in no-knock warrants (which are completely unconstitutional and very un-American), an alarming number of which are mistakes, is alarming to say the least.

I now worry what my government will do to me far more than a what a terrorist might do. This was not true thirty years ago.

Maybe it is a police management issue, and not the street cops. In all the encounters I have ever had with police, they have acted professionally.
