Palin very clearly said it was a victory only in that the TEA party changed the debate and nothing more.

Thanks for clearing that up, I agree with that as evidenced by my previous post.

What I don't understand is the deliberate attempts to bash Palin here. While I do not share the enthusiasm that many do here for her I am certainly not a detractor nor would I deliberately bash her (as many here seem bent on doing). In fact, I have defended her several time here from unfair and misguided attacks.

We have a Country to save, we best get with it and do it or else it is all moot and for naught.

Bashing and eating our own simply serve no purpose.

It is quite amazing, Again you are wrong. Palin was responding to Greta V’s statement that it was a victory for the TEA party. Palin used the word victory in response to Greta and then Palin qualified that Greta’s “victory” was not a victory in her mind!

Give it up!

I like both Bachmann and Palin so I won’t go against either. Palin is the best choice for president, she has the proper credentials. Bachmann should run again for congress and use her exposure as a presidential candidate to get into a leadership position in the House. That’s where her strength lies.

Palin does not see it as a victory. Csense explains it so that even people with PDS can understand:

“... She wasn’t referring to the substance of the bill as a victory, she was merely agreeing with Greta, when Greta said: The Tea Party had an enormous victory because they did change the discussion here in Washington, and it is a little bit like trying to change the direction of an aircraft carrier, it’s not easy

Sarah then went on to explain why the content isn’t a victory and summarized by saying: Yes this is a victory because tea party patriots did shift the debate...

She’s not abrogating her principles and what she said was exactly correct.”

If Bachmann had been in Boehner's position do you think she could have carried this through with better results?

You Jim Robinson? Yes, quite amazing. Don’t forget to mention what a great victory YOU think this bill is.

Bump to your post, money quote: We have a Country to save, we best get with it and do it or else it is all moot and for naught. Your attitude is appreciated. I can understand if she might not be someone's favorite candidate, but the bashing by unfair attacks like this article is totally senseless.

Palin clearly said the bill was a step in the right direction.

She used the word victory for the "actions" of the bill well after Greta used it...Palin used it in the context of the Tea Party first and then in the context of the bill itself.

Many people seem to be in denial.

Actually, the deal would have been much worse without the Tea Party.

She said basically the same thing as you.

The bottom line is that she is not some 100% Conservative hero. She is a decent conservative (???) with some moderate libertarian tendencies.

More lies:

Palin does not see it as a victory. Csense explains it so that even people with PDS can understand:

Palin also said the bill was a step in the right direction

She used the word "victory" also in the context of the actions Congress took (although she was displeased by aspects of it so not 100% victory), and not just the Tea Party.

You seem to be the one being disingenuous.

the Tea Party.

With the power shown with this fight now we should have the rest of there agenda in an uproar.....no more rushed bills of several thousand pages unread....no card check....amnesty.....or additional controversial funding.

You conveniently left out where Palin later said the actions taken this week were a victory, though not 100%.
