Muslim Law Pronounced in London
Arutz Sheva ^ | 7/8/11

Posted on 08/07/2011 11:22:55 AM PDT by Eleutheria5

A fundamentalist group is trying to enforce Muslim Shariah law in eastern parts of London and expand the enforcement to other areas, according to recent reports in British media. The Telegraph reported, on Sunday, that the group put up signs last month in the boroughs of Waltham Forest, Tower Hamlets and Newham that people were entering a “Sharia-controlled zone” where Islamic rules were enforced and gambling, alcohol and music was banned. The newspaper said police removed the posters.

The group's website said the signs were part of a fight against "the crusaders", and residents of Waltham Forest were sent veiled threats about stoning and the cutting off of hands for violation of Shariah law. The website has a place of honor for a Muslim who was charged in 2008 with helping terror after he told his followers to fight the United States in Iraq. Some Muslims have been quoted as saying, "These Muslims must seek an Islamic state. There's no place for them in Britain."

Oasis of Arab culture sits comfortably in Dearborn, Michigan

...as for:

“They hate the West.
Why are they here ?”

...many of them hate the West, but don’t hate the people. the wish to convert us. I spent a lot of time talking to an Imam and his assistant, near D.C.

...but, if they can’t convert us, they WILL try to conquer us. 1300 years of history proves that.

They hate the West.
Why are they here ?

I think even they know that:

There’s decent opportunities to live a decent life in America, including living off welfare.

They know that Europe is in decline, and the U.S. is borderlining on decline, so why pick up what the natives lose, after all, even they beieve the mantra of “their loss is our gain”.

The breakdown of the family is the primary reason for this, and even more so that people forgot about the importance of God in their lives. Sometimes God raised up others as a reminder to his people for not remembering him. It’s my opinion that Islam is part of Western Civilization’s divine chastisement to give a reminder of what happens when people can’t be faithful or strive to live up to him.

Under Thatcher it was a regular order of the day to deny entrance to England those that would undermine the British way of life

That, if I may say so, is to oversimplify patterns in recent British history which are rather more complex. Both of the main British political parties when in Government have at various times encouraged immigration, and at other times sought to limit immigration. Much of the intial wave of postwar immigration from 'New Commonwealth' countries took place under Conservative governments, who deliberately recruited cheap labour to help deal with labour shortages in the 1950s. Indeed it was Enoch Powell, now best remembered as an eloquent Cassandra warning of the dangers of uncontrolled immigration, who as Health Minister in a Conservative government brought in large numbers, particularly of Afro-Caribbeans, to staff the infant National Health Service. Conversely the first legislation to limit immigration, and to remove the automatic right of entry from British passport-holders in the former colonies, was introduced by the Callaghan Labour government of the 1970s.

As for Thatcher, immigration was not an issue which seems to have been very high on her agenda. As far as I know (subject to correction) she never made a major speech on the subject or introduced any radical policies, even at the height of her reforming zeal on other matters.

I understand Chris Christie also doesn't understand the devastating effects of allowing 20+million ILLEGAL Aliens into our country to steal JOBS, opportunity and resources intended for our own poorest and neediest LEGAL citizens.

Can anyone prove this wrong?

The fact that three million+ U.S. citizens visit Britain every year, without apparently encountering much in the way of serious problems, and that these numbers don't seem to be declining, suggests that your father's opinion isn't widely shared.

There are two parts of any country that gets a lot of commerce with tourists from abroad. There’s the part that the tourists see, and the part that’s out of their sight.

Sure, three million + Americans get to see the Changing of the Guard, The Tower, and John Lennon’s birthplace, or perhaps even the house that ST Coleridge and his family occupied in the Lake District, and whatnot. Those are places designed to look nice so foreigners will come and spend money. But that does not mean that the less traveled places in London and England are just as hospitable and just as safe. News only happens on TV in the US, but not elsewhere in the world, where they know that the official TV version of events is bogus fantasy, because they have to live with the reality that only sometimes gets noticed in TV-land.

But that does not mean that the less traveled places in London and England are just as hospitable and just as safe.

Since I live, and have lived for many years, in just such 'less traveled places', I'm happy to assure you that they are, indeed, safe. In Britain (as indeed, I belive, in the U.S.), the parts of the country which can be seriously described as 'unsafe' are highly concentrated pockets in some inner cities. For most people, in most of the country, most of the time, there are no serious threats to one's personal safety as one goes about one's daily business.

“Makes me think the Muslims doing this are on a crusade of their own.....”

Good morning.

They’ve been at war with civilization ever since Satan picked Mohammed (pig guts be upon his head) and cooked up this death cult.

Our Crusades were actually early wars on Mooselimb terrorists.

Crusader? Hell, yes, and proud of it. When TSHTF, musselman, there will be no place to hide.

Anyone who doesn’t see the danger of large numbers of Moslems is lying. Why they’re lying is the question. Unless of course they are a regular leftist who wants to see our country (Or any country) destroyed.

I assume he got $ in return for his willful blindness.

The same holds true in the vicinity of Hebron, near which I live, and in most of Israel, including Judah and Samaria. But if you speak to an old-time Hebronite, he’ll say something like: “I’ve lived here forty years, and have known about 40 permanent residents.” When he sees your blank stare, he’ll explain that he means people stabbed, shot or beaten to death by Arabs; i.e., made permanent residents of Hebron’s cemetery. But on a day-to-day basis, one goes about one’s business without threat. One interacts with Jews, and also with Arabs on more or less cordial terms, and when the tourists are frightened because they don’t understand what all those explosions right nearby are about, you explain to them that it’s an Arab wedding, when they traditionally set off fireworks. Even so, the menace is always there, like living in an earthquake zone or near a volcano.

So if nothing of that kind is present in England, I envy your fortune. But even so, I would not leave my home in Remat Mamre with all its dormant troubles for your hospitable, safe England. It’s simply where I belong.
