Folks, the Democrats are revealing their 2012 Election talking points. Be prepared for a bombardment of this in every Democrat’s re-election campaign. The 45% of the voters who always vote Democrat can be relied on to replay this in the press, on tv, in their magazines, etc. The unions, NAACP, Ivy League, NOW, Planned Parenthood, all the usual subjects will repeat this lie and the gullible will believe it.

We need to take this fight right back to them and expose them as the professional taxation parasites that they are. We need to show the rest of the public the whole money trail and how it all lands at the feet of those same special interest groups. And we should not let them place military spending in the same class. Military spending by the Feds is one of the few things the Federal compact mandates.

Defund the Dept of Ed, Dept of Energy, Dept of Commerce, Dept of Agriculture , HUD, H&HS. Combine any vital functions of Agri, HUD, H&HS with the Dept of Interior or Treasury (one of Nixon’s brilliant ideas) and eliminate excess mgmt. Simplify the tax code, reduce the Corp Income Tax and stimulate more business investment to create more tax revenue the proper way. Give small business a chance to prosper by eliminating non-compete clauses forced on laid-off employees by the multi-national conglomerates, through tort reform, and elimination of onerous EPA, OSHA, and other regulatory constraints that exist to stifle business.

Just my random thoughts.

It’s insane and unconscionable to blame those who are (and have been for decades, in many cases) adamantly and categorically opposed to debt, deficit spending, Unconstitutional spending and Keynesian stimulus spending on the high levels of government spending and the resulting enormous Federal debt.

It’s Obama’s Downgrade. It happened while he was President, as a direct consequence of a law he gleefully signed, and in spite of intense opposition to increasing the US debt burden any further.

Creditworthiness is always downgraded only when debt levels rise, never because they fall.

Kerry can run on raising taxes on rich yacht owners.....providing they can move their yachts to a non-tax dock.

There's nothing I can say to that other than: excellent post.

(Except, that that Carter/Obama satire was perfect. I don't even think it needs the Titanic thing. Just that image of Carter in the mirror, when he looks in it...just perfect in its simplicity. And at least this downgrade means he's gone. If nothing big happened, he'd probably have been reelected.)

If the Tea Party is so powerful Senator, why does your party refuse to work with them?

By the way, thank you for serving in Vietnam 6 months longer than I did. Of course, I was only 2 years old and could not have awarded myself my own medals... you traitorous piece of trash.
