I think the word should be spelled “s-m-a-r-m-y “ and that would be a yes,he is smarmy.
I put Obama in the same category Al Gore. Both are of above average intelligence. Not genius level but pretty bright individuals.
However, neither is intelligent enough to figure out that there are lots and lots of people that are way smarter than they are.

The writer has him pegged. When 0bama speaks my reactions range from anger, confusion, nausea or contempt. Sometimes I am amazed at the endless blathering of meaningless words.
Reagan’s words are classics: “There you go again.” “Tear down this wall.” He always challenged and encouraged us and never talked down, lectured or whined.
I’ve thought this for a while. Nothing he says ever makes sense. He clearly has no understanding of history or economics. He won’t even release his transcripts!
0bama is an evil man in a powerful position. He doesn’t have to be that “smart”.
